Just a quick update DD is housed under the Sportech Venues & My Winners.com subsidiary. Spo Venues holds the exclusive license (in perpetuity) to conduct pari-mutuel wagering on horse racing, greyhound & jai alai in Connecticut. The company operates 14 wagering venues & sports bars under the brand name WINNERS. In addition a full on line service covering all forms of wagering is available. Note also that a % of every dollar wagered with WINNERS goes to the Connecticut general fund & local municipal tax funds. Working with State regulatory bodies has always been a priority for Sportech and is the reason why we have so many licenses in the US, far more than any other UK company and why we are the partner of choice, for those in the leisure & gaming sectors.

It's a possibility that we may take over DraftDay if a) FS is ruled legal? b) we ever sell the Pools? d) vat ever gets to court? e) we win vat case? f) get taken over (unlikely). Lots of ifs which is keeping the sp at this low price and without resolution to these we're stuck here! Best outcome would be all 3 fall our way then we can get shot of our ftse small cap quote and move lockstock over the pond with a US quote. FanDuel worth $1bn...come on!!!!

Supporters of F'S are a veritable who's who of American media conglomerates, they include Comcast, Time Warner & the dirty diggers Fox Sports. Fox led DKINGS recent round of funding taking an 11% stake for $150m investment. FS have given a massive revenue bump to media properties directly as a result of the media marketing blitz. As part of Fox Sports investment DK promised to spend $250m in advertising with the network over a 3 year span. These networks are making a ton of money in ad rev not to mention the boost to their tv ratings. Big time media do not want FS to go away! Baseball, American Football & Netball are all benefitting from F'S as gamers then tend to follow the games on TV which they may not have done and growing a tv audience will be crucial to selling TV air rights for $BN. Even over in Vegas the traditional wagering capital of the US, Nevada sports book has seen stakes wagered jump from $2.5BN in 09 to $4.5BN in 2014 in no way effected by wagers on FS. No wonder we want to be involved in the FS business!

Fan Duel (UK) one of Britain's bigest tech start ups now in the midst of an increasing acrimonious legal battle was ordered on Friday to shut down its operations in New York state. But just hours later, an appeals court offered a reprieve, saying FD could stay open for business until a full hearing takes place in January. FD & Draft Kings dominate a rapidly expanding industry in the fantasy sports sector. At first fantasy sports betting escaped the uber strict gambling laws because they were deemed games of skill (my ability to pick a better team than you...etc). However recently lawmakers have claimed they are games of chance and should be banned. FanDuel is monickerd as a "unicorn" the label for private tech Co's valued at $1bn plus! New York state accounts for 10% of the FD user base. As ever mucho dollars are in the hands of the lawyers.

See they've gone into boxing, had a bit of a down on WH & Sads for a while now. WH after uninspiring results & Sads since CS left............ bought into them when they lost their casino licenses... for peanuts, made money on them for a change. Must say if I had any spare I would be ploughing in here & not WH, we have a "better story" to unfold in the next 3-6 months and who is going to take over WH? Who they Fund managers? Bruce you seem to have a wide spread of investments. Don't go in for other people managing my money (maybe I should?) I like to be in control of losing my own money, nobody can do it as quickly as I can! But 20% in a few weeks......well done. Good luck with 888 see if you can persuade them to buy Spo might get out ahead the first time since......don't know? Oh yes I forgot NBPO paid me handsomely a year or so ago. Should remember that it's a rare event!

Good press comment I suspect re: upcoming finals. Blocking shareholder limits 888 as a target see (Will Hill) and might oppose the Co being sold leads me to believe that after the failed BWIN deal they are in the market to buy a sports betting type firm. The market may have only just started to price this in and after the recent "no shows" from WH & Sads, 888 are the flavour of the month.

Morning Bruce nice rise yesterday! Had a quick butchers......the balance sheet looks ok, negligible debt though the poct is a bummer at £2M! Is that also arrears? Confident statement from CEO and if I had any would stick with them as they are in a space with lots of M&A activity though competition is fierce in trying to attract new players....see the decline in popularity of poker on line. Def would not have my ***** on the line here but a good addition in this sector.

The on line gambling Co that slipped up in its bid for BWIN is expected to report figs at the top end of analysts estimates fuelled via organic growth and not M & A activity. Nice sp graph to boot! Mattingley says no acquisition talk till the New Year which may rule out the Pools which I think would sit well inside their casino & sports businesses, come to think of it Spo as a whole would be a tasty morsel and way cheaper than BWIN and a great spread of US regulated businesses. Just a morning mull...
