Sir Peter Moores second son of founder Sir John Moores died yesterday. He is survived by a son and daughter.

Easter upon us so no trading Fri & Mon so highly unlikely any news will be released.

John Moores son of founder died a few years back his passion being Everton F.C. I don't think his son who sold out of Everton would be interested but a nice idea Bruce. Hogg is the main man and i'm sure with his backing money wouldn't be a problem....so what is taking so long? Has to be tied up with the STB/debt/vat that is holding things up? How does WB buy a $BN Co in 15 mins or at least give a yea or nay? Ok he's a one man band granted but.......let's have some urgency around here!

Hogg being ex Spo knows the business inside out so would have no trouble raising the funds particularly as they intend to go for an IPO. Heh!!!.......sell SPO and buy the IPO or 50:50? I might just do that. Will the new co be called Pools inc? ( like Murder inc...Cosa Nostra inc)...that would be cool, kinda don't mess with us...We mean business...We want your money....get real JL it'll be some awful stodgy corporate monicker.. Afternoon Bruce. Spo has tracked up 10 this week, not on the fundamentals but I'm guessing that a Pools announcement could be imminent. Perhaps news will leak over the wk/end? A 20% rise in Spo shares is miraculous and on such small volumes. Two out of three you mentioned are gainers and PP the blue chip of the sector will be a core holding for all ftse trackers given the strong dividend and solid know it all management. I'd expect PP to out perform the sector this year. Speak soon JL.

Shares Mag positive on future moves....All being well, unlike the IC who see little upside to the stock preferring to sit on the fence. Me? I'd be a buyer (long term) but funds committed elsewhere with potential bigger upside than Spo, who promise much but deliver little (check the turn over nos/ last 10 years). Hang your head in Shame Penrose!

Morning Bruce. Trust your well. Saw Shares Mag had sold out of 32 Red recommending taking profits. You still in? Graph looks very 'toppy'. Any chance of you returning here pre the vat business? Not long now assuming de judge shows up? Nervous times for all. On my last legs in G twitching to add in S as Woodford continues to mop up all the loose stock now c 30%. Morning bags1. I guess that's a possibility, a full bid awaiting the vat case decision. I think this has been a declining possibility for sometime especially after the farcical CG non bid, who are still interested in the Pools division. They are out of the running for that I'm sure. If a bidder is in the wings why wait while we line up the sale of the Pools? No on balance I think a full bid won't happen now unless Hogg is contemplating one and that looks unlikely. I suppose they can spin this out till 7/8 April but that's hoping for a quick decision which as we know ain't gonna happen. With any vat windfall Hogg might have ruled himself out of participating unless of course he's bidding for the Co which Spo have not indicated he's done. Of course someone may be lurking hoping for a good result on vat then launch a cheeky bid which would have to be north of £200m. I'd imagine that would be the preferred option of HG & R.Griffiths? Quite a few possibilities which makes this such an interesting share atm despite the slow pace of events. With vat at 1-1 only a brave or a foolhardy man would put £50k on the replay? So do ya feel lucky punk?

Citigroup puts the boot in, blocking payments by New York State residents re Fantasy Sports Games. The ban will last till the court's make a final decision as to the legality of the game. A number of US states permit FS games and how this will affect them should the NY court rule again FD & DK I don't know.

It's been a drifter! Nothing surprising there while bidder.. (s) scramble around looking for cash the sp is looking sub 50! Bump 50:50 won a contract in Texas for the first time to supply the Dallas Mavericks Foundation with charity lottery software & hardware etc... Must be a reasonable business but I've never seen any figs to support an investment case. They come under a 'need to know' basis! Results n/w will be as per usual...zzzzzz!

Be a good idea to announce the sale of the Pools at the year end presentation. All this will they won't they? have they the money or not? is becoming extremely tedious! Sp at 2014 results 67 down 2.5 on the day.
