Cheers WOE. I can only put the poor sp performance this Q down to profit taking as the fundamentals as far as we know hardly warrant such a decline.

Luckily it gives buyers an opportunity to top up at these distressed prices which like you I have been adding to my holdings. Come the H/Y the sp could be telling an entirely different story.

Asia is mostly higher after the Easter break but Shanghai slips on concerns that tensions in the Taiwan Strait may devolve into conflict after 3 days of military exercises. Taiwans Govt have put their armed forces on full military alert. Ultimately Beijing wants unification with Taiwan.

Tokyo's Nikkei index is well ahead after BOJ Governor Ueda vowed to maintain their ultra loose 'rates' policy. Rates in Japan (-0•10%) have been unchanged for many years.

HK picks up on back of investor demand for properties and healthcare issues. Sydney climbs as commodities get a boost from rises in miners after Newcrest received a sweetened deal from Newmont to acquire 100% of the issued share capital.

Mrkts were closed for Good Friday and in Europe for an extended holiday through to April 11th.

Investors in Asia/Pacifica were cautious of opening new positions as Chinese stocks fluctuated with a negative bias despite a private survey showing activity in the China services sector growing at the fastest pace in 2 years to March. Shanghai tracked higher for the 5th day.

In Japan stocks fell sharply to reach 2 week lows on Yen gains which hurt exporters. Tokyo mrkts have been one of the better trading up c.5% so far this year. In Australia mrkts snapped a 7 session winning streak (ytd off 2•5%). Pacifica were all lower taking their cues from TK & SH.

Vols & deals were impacted by the Bank Holiday as investors were more interested in heading for a break than buying shares.

In volume terms MSi buys outpaced sells by c.1•4 :1 on a total of 26,200 shares and just 30 deals on the week. The share price was pretty much unchanged and traded within the spread, but for once led sells by 58% to 42%.

Ytd MSi is 21% down and doesn't appear on any top under performing Aim share list i could find. The ftse Aim 100 top faller is Nanosynth down 41% and if we were to be included we would be ranked 3rd of losers (ytd basis).

Whatever the position MSi has one of the worst sp performances on Aim this year (669-510). In the Bookmaking business the bookies "overround" almost always ensures they come out on top if priced correctly & they usually are so maybe MSi is in the wrong game?

Aside that, it goes to show a Co producing increasing revs, profits and earnings per share means diddly squat in this mrkt place. I'm pretty sure a significant rerate is long overdue & the good going down with the bad cannot be sustained.

A sea of red across Asia this morning at the start of the new Tax year. Mixed messages from global mrkts overnight set investors nerves on edge due to the release of some disappointing economic data and worries the Fed will hike another •25 bp.

On Wall the DJI gained 80 in sluggish trade as book squaring for the financial year ended. The S&P slipped 10 but the Nsdq was off by 130. Ytd nos. DJ -1%, SP -6% NS +19% & R2 -1%

Morning all.

MSi investors will see as from this morning a daily US mrkt and nos report. I started doing this many years ago on several boards and it "sort of" caught on.

After some asked me to continue it's starting up on this board every Mon-Fri c.(6•00am to 7•00am). For better or worse I have been the main poster on MSi these last few months (i believe its important to have an active board for a mix of views & all things MSi)

Cheers mickey1122 I still have an interest in PAT but as I now have over 95% of my holdings in another stock naturally my focus has switched. However after representations from others I have decided to cont the (US nos daily report) on the MSi board. So for anyone whose interested the morning update is available over there.
Morning all.

I bit the bullet some months ago selling a big chunk of my holding which left me with a small interest. One of my better decisions though true to form I lost money. Never worries me losing i price it in as soon as i make a trade. I do it so often I have become immune.

With trade volumes & bargains on the floor i see little point in continuing to cover. I shall also be discontinuing my daily update on the US mrkts. Its been fun while it lasted.

Stocks pushed ahead on Monday led by the energy sector after a surprise production cut of c.1•16m bopd by OPEC. Pledges by all OPEC countries to cut output now stands at c.3•66m bopd equal to c.4% of global demand.

The move angered Washington who argued the world needs lower prices to support economic growth and prevent Putin from earning more money to fund the illegal war in Ukraine.

Another poor wk for holders as the shares traded between 562 and 520 (the spread on most days) closing at the lowest price depending where you look. I use a mix of several sites bid prices to make a closing I'm comfortable with.

A couple of late reported sells one of 5000 didn't help the weeks scorecard, leaving me with the only conclusion that MSi has a serious case of constipation.
