Eureka - I must congratulate you not only for having a unique access to a company spokesman but now also for having a direct line to the former CEX, who appears to have been seeking your advice on the company's FDA route. Whilst the rest of us seem to get nowhere when we email the company or their PR agency, you appear to have the ability to get all your queries answered without any problem and have even been asked by the former CEX for advice now. Hats off to you.

Roger , you have no basis for making such a statement. You just don't know until the company (not a poster on this board) confirms the direction of travel.

Roger.. .the chair has done the opposite of leading investors up the garden path by recently by buying 1m shares. Why would he do that if some of your assumptions were credible?

Landy7 - exactly. Key words in the Linked in post for me are 'as we continue to roll out tests across the country'. This would imply sales of both tests are happening UK wide?

If they need to collect more data on accuracy etc, then surely they must have bought the test already!?

That doesn't mean the test can't be sold!

Give the bloke a break...he's only been CEX for less than a week and we've only had final approval for 10 days . We are not selling children's toys here, we are selling world leading health tests in a very complicated approval / procurement sector and it takes time. I'm very confident lots of things are happening behind the scenes but we are at the mercy of the NHS' glacial buying processes. It will happen, trust the new leadership before making hasty judgements.

I agree and as I said this morning, NICE and NHS England may well have said to the Chair, we want to work with you but not with your aggressive CEX.

Clearly the market wasn't too fussed about cheek leaving. I feel the start of a positive run now and Gino to deliver some good news very soon. Or the Chair, with takeover news.

Agreed Roger...the Chair has a significant track record of selling companies successfully and this move smells of an imminent sale. The buyer will keep Gino on for his scientific credentials, Cheek not needed.

Other positive = cost saving 300k pa!

Gino will want to get some good news out quickly and won't want to preside over a gradual SP slump. So I think short term watch this space.

I suspect Cheeks aggressive style might not have gone down too well with NICE, NHS England etc ( see his LinkedIn outburst last week) so it may now be easier for us to work with them with a more consensual style (Gino)?

I also agree with others that if a takeover is imminent, the buyers might not want Cheek anywhere near the company as their commercial arm will be much more successful.

My view is that there is huge amounts going on in the background we are unsighted on. Everyone is trying to interpret the NICE guidance but the reality is that no one really knows the route and timescales for the commercialisation of the test. Patience is therefore needed.

This board is also full of people who say one thing one day and then say the exact opposite the next!

NICE will be very cautious in their responses to individuals and will be very wary of alluding to commercially sensitive info. I am hoping that between them and NHS England we will have some clarity soon.

The resource will be things like case studies to demonstrate how testing can be rolled out in a phased or staged way.

Thanks Eureka..the most encouraging take away from that is that it is down to the individual clinican to decide the most appropriate test for the patient.....why would they choose then lab over PCT?
