The BB will stay for a while until the EPIC is given up ((eg AMP is still there - it delisted a year ago). The BB will then be renamed with a dummy EPIC (usually starts with a 0 (zero) which will retain the history. Hundreds of these zombie BBs exist - some members use them for off-topic convos.

I bought shares in companies twice after a notice of delisting. One went t*ts up and was a total loss - management proved to be highly "questionable". The other repaid more than my investment within 12 months (by way of dividends) and is still happily trading. I ended up as the largest shareholder not in management.
I bought in her last week and I will probably buy more if the price keeps dropping as I expect a payout worth North of 20p. I think there is a fair chance (>50%) of this being in cash. Re an Odey buy-out I am a bit rusty on the Takeover Code but I believe in the case of a simple takeover (not the case here) there must be a cash offer not less than the highest price in the 12 months before the offer becomes mandatory. I need to research how it applies in this particular situation. Worst case Tri-Star gets wound up voluntarily and as there are valuable assets and few creditors I would still expect to come out in profit. Not one for widows and orphans though.
"But what's the risk of him trying to buy from weak/frightened shareholders in a private company, and offering them 2p per share? I suppose that seems unlikely - any panicked shareholders can sell today at 4p-odd in the market, if they want to?"
The risk is zero. That is what the Takeover Code is for. It will continue to apply for 10 years after delisting.
NAV at 6/20 is is 19.7pps and there looks to be a fair amount of prudence involved in that number. I reckon there is further upside on a liquidation event. Spent all morning reading the accounts and Co. history and I'll take those odds for a modest punt. In at 4.7p.
Do you mean the H1 2021 headings? That means first half of the year ending March 2021 (i.e 6 months ended 30/9/20)
Questor says: speculative buy

We are about to welcome some new friends (I know I first bought in only 2 weeks ago but these are not MY friends!)
....but interestingly that article says "Meanwhile, he (Ritchie) is also excited about a new a solo project based on developing a solar energy farm. A new company – Ritchie-Bland Energy – was founded two months ago and he expects to start work on the development within the next two years." Perhaps this "solo" venture was news to the Board too ---> "don't forget your coat on the way out James" maybe?
Either I am moving the price or there is a large trade going through in the background. Either way I am going to lay off buying more for a while.
At these levels. A steal.
Way to go
1. Take two views before selling
2. Buy more
3. Rinse and repeat.

Agree. I was very surprised at publicising that request for conditional approval. Just not the kind of bomb a responsible pharma would lob in the air. Smells of snake oil. I have sold 2/3 of my LT holding here. Meanwhile EVG is perking up!
