Back in late 2013 to early 2014 a POC was issued for MSAR on the same engine and same vessel that MSC will use for the trial in 2024. Therefore for MSAR it is only a 4000 hour LONO trial that is required.
My take on BIOMSAR is that a POC trial would need to take place and if successful a 4000 hour LONO trial would need to take place. Does anyone agree that this would be the case.

Thanks for the reply guys. My allocation of the OO shares is in my SIPP. I have taken up my allocation im my ISA. I think for now to be on the safe side I will sell other shares in the SIPP to take up my allocation. I will contact HL regarding the use of carry forward carry back. Thanks again guys
Hi can anyone please advise. I am retired and can only pay £3600 in any tax year into my SIPP, ( £2880 by me and £720 by taxman). As I have paid in £2800 this tax year I can not pay in any more. Thee way I see it is to take up my OO QF! shares I will need to sell some of my holdings in my SIPP in order to have the cash available to take up the OO. Please advise if I have got this correct.
Many thanks Wonga. I got there in the end. Instructions not very clear. Turns out there is an extra black icon in the actions column that when you put the cursor over reads " Corporate Action Open Offer". When I clicked on this icon there was a pat to follow to take up the offer. Will know next time as I think there will be many more OOs as I feel QFI needs much more cash to move forward. It is like a cottage industry at the moment. That said I have always believed in the product. Thing the way for this product to really progress would be a buy out from a GOM. Been trying to buy my open offer shares from HL.co.uk. I have followed the instructions in the message buy when I click on "corporate action" it is just a glossary of terms that appears. No steps to take are shown.

Just checked Marine Traffic and found that Stena Icemax is moored at Las Palmas. When it departs Las Palmas it has approx 3500 nautical miles to say Freeport and at 7 kts that will take around 20 days. Looks like spudding will be very late Q4 2020 if not into Q1 2021.
As we are now less than 60 days away from 1/1/20 when IMO regs kick in. There is no way that any shipping company that has vessels fitted with scrubbers will use MSAR. Reason being is that MSAR has never been issued with a LONO due to the trial not have been completed.
So why has BOB not tried to get LONO with a trial on other shipping company vessel. Recent posts have included links that indicate the magnitude of vessels that have been retrofitted with scrubbers and it is these vessels that could use MSAR if a LONO was in place.
I am still waiting for my divi cheque by post. Saw somewhere divi would be paid from 8th July.
As far as I know the LONO with Maersk was never completed due to Buoygate. All test data from the use of MSAR on the Maersk vessel was very positive up until the vessel hit a uncharted buoy as it headed for the Med approaches to Suez Canal. Shortly after buoygate Maersk announced that it would not fit scrubbers to any vessels but it would use compliant LSFO.
Lets get this LONO put to bed. Surely with all these shipping companys adapting to the the use of EGCS then one should complete the LONO. Come on BOD.
I feel Morocco could be a goer. The only oil/coal fired thermal power station is in Mohammedia (just NE of Casablanca).
Mohammedia has a refinery. So I don't know if a MMU would be installed in the Morrocan refinery or if the fuel would be shipped from Cepsa which is only 200 nautical miles away. Transit time at 10 kts would be 20 hours. To me the logistics seem favourable.
Does anyone know if Open Loop Scrubber Wash Water can be discharged to a holding tank to be released to open sea when there is no restriction by any country for this to be done. Any info on what volumes of wash water we are talking about on a daily basis.

Re your 02:53 post. As you say one year ago very upbeat. Wish I had sold on 19/12/17 at 15.5p. Then in 2018 surprise surprise KSA pulls the plug. Hope some of you posters can give me an update on outcome of CC tomorrow. Just not available to take any part in it.
