I feel they may have done their money, won't be able to close their positions all at once.unfortunately I sold nearly all mine a while ago at a little above the present price and have put it all into oil .
I was just wondering whether the dividends shell shareholders would receive between now and the deal ,would account for some of the apparent premium ?
Never thought they would fall this much ,results not that bad,but when a share is this heavely shorted ,a lot of people want the price to drop,so its sitting on hands for time being
Not adding ,not selling (any more).I have reduced my holding twice recently at above the current price ,just hold now for div ,which is still good at these prices would sell again above 290 ,all things being equal.
What they going to do now ?they will have to close at some time ,which will mean a rise in share price,IMO the shares at 270/280 offer better than average investment .
Sold a few more today @ 275 ,they could rise strongly tomorrow if results are better or no worse than expected ,but if the market takes a dim view of them we may be back to the 230,s .long term OK short term a big ?
IMO being a broker is an easy job with plenty money ,unlike other jobs it doesn't matter if you get things wrong ,the last two broker recommendations one is 155 the other 325 you only need a pin and a blindfold and you can do just as well
Feel the shorters are going to have to close soon then big lift above 330 unless that is unless they've been right all along soon find out .
Just sold 900 got 81.98 I'm holding a lot of these and I thought best lighten a little
I don't see how shell have overpaid as its only 3.83 cash .and both companies are reliant on price of oil/gas .a lot being made of 90$ oil if we get $90 oil then shell have the bargain of the century (and last century)
Can't quite see why these are below 1200 even with the depressed shell share price the deal value is nearly 1300,and whatever happens BG. are very much in play .and nobody will get them for under 1300 ,all very puzzling.
I make the current BG. share price about 4% below what would be the value of the bid today ,am I right?
This a pure opertunistic bid on the low oil price .OK the offer is part shell shares and they are also reliant on the oil price ,so if the oil price goes to say $70 then shell shares will rise the bid will be worth more .but I'm sure shell will not be alone in wanting BG.
Way undervalued
I hope your right IMO a break up is the most likely outcome but I have no idea the value this would create
Just could not buy these on bare results ,but as I said something is happening here so its hold on time
Worse than I expected, might see 15/20 p drop on opening ,but these have been really strong over last few months and IMO there's a reason ,things are going to happen soon and I feel selling would be premature .
IMO if supply is above demand oil prices will be under pressure ,the thing in oils favor is it get used so the balance can change.
Sold about 50% of my holding today at 310 ,feel in present climate ,they are a sound share ,I'm just too twitchy on the button let's hope they keep rising .
let hope so ,I did close that short ,I sometimes constantly short then close small shorts when im holding the actual shares ,
