Every County/ Shire has a local Development Agency . They are trying to promote Green alternatives to Fossil fuels . They are very stringent , should our future green alternative have to raise monies on the open market , it's probably because local Agencies have turned their request down , numbers don't stack up . It's a con in layman terms . It's taxpayers money .

Agree with you Mervin King was A fine BOE Governor . Gordon Brown made a big mistake in creating MPC , it removed Political accountability . MPC showed their incompitance in 2006/07 in raising base rate into an Economic crash . They had overlooked the well known fact that raising rates leads to Recessions . MPC gets paid by taxpayer to inflict hardship on them , you couldn't make it up !

Small anecdote , in '09 was in Cyprus on hol and one evening at supper , 2 couples sat at table next to ours . Mervins friend sat opposite him said " no one recognises you here " , we nodded in acknowledgement of each other and smiled , he is a true Brit !
