Simply enquiring , @57p some folk think it's v cheap , others think v expensive , only wondered what dinghy you were in .

Most importantly , would you recommend buying Lloy , presently @ 57p ?

In life , you get to read much , try and make deductions from what you read , rather than living in hope . You have two options presently , be a sheeple and keep buying Lloy , or buy Gold . Will pick up reply tomorrow .

Mick , Great reminder bud , thank you . 3 generations later the grandchildren of those brave men and women are stopping German dominance through Peacefull means . It should be respected .

A progressive buyback policy will end up mimicking Barcs bonus structure , whereby 50% of profits are awarded in bonuses to staff , reducing shareholder dividend . It won't surprise me when ppi ends , monies are allocated to buybacks , and staff bonuses incremented .

Don't ever forget you have GS at the helm , shareholders aren't exactly their top priority .

Surely if buyback hadn't occurred , monies would have been allocated as dividends , enhancing share price .

LTI , we would need to ascertain the reason for the wage rise , those figures would suggest to me an index linked entitlement .., not a gift .

In my eyes , an award is a gift , in this instance diluting shareholder value .

My confusion probably stemmed from working for Motorola management for 5 yrs . Our bonuses were issued in shares , at the time not realising they were diluting shareholder value .

Lusardy used to work for Asda , was given options to buy @40p when actual live price was ~80p , redeemable 3 yrs down the line .

Personally , it is therefore of the utmost importance to ascertain the terms of sharesave , it then dictates the actual price paid per share buyback .

Share dilution is a cost to shareholders , hence has to be incorporated into overall costs

A1 , that's c1Bn shares removed out of circulation in a 15 month time frame at a rough guess cost of £2Bn to shareholders . That's £2/ share . It's down to individuals to reason whether this makes financial sense .

Lloy NAV is ~56p , it'll keep drifting down past this figure due to global uncertainty till it hovers at 50p on Brexit day . When Boris leads us out of EU on Halloween , it will drop a further 20% , so you'll be able to pick them up for around 40p . Patience is the name of the game .

The EU has put up our subs by 5.7% in 1 yr . EU inflation target 2% . UNJUSTIFIABLE ! Compounded our subs would double ~ every 12 yrs.
