The info I had on international sales was that the price per ton obtainable was insufficient to cover the cost of long distance transport. The dreaded heyhoe said in the light of this that they were planning to sift out the finer particles to concentrate it, but this was quietly shelved but it does support what I had been told. To be fair he did assert that silicon had a value to crops, and of course now the price of fertiliser has risen it would be more economic to transport further, hence I suppose the plan to supply Paraguay.
