that is the elephant in the room here, hmi s trustworthiness and information flow which they have started to improve on, but not before some of us saw a "temporary" 80% drop in value of our holdings and the resulting finger burnings. I do wonder though why the management didn't buy in a 2 pence... there s something to lose sleep over..
I just put some balance in following the one sided comments on why the price was comparatively low. I have a large holding b in shell and am very happy with how it's gone but it's dependent on the poo, which is also dependent on American oil production being kept in check. The ft said big oil in America is planning a huge increase
The info I had on international sales was that the price per ton obtainable was insufficient to cover the cost of long distance transport. The dreaded heyhoe said in the light of this that they were planning to sift out the finer particles to concentrate it, but this was quietly shelved but it does support what I had been told. To be fair he did assert that silicon had a value to crops, and of course now the price of fertiliser has risen it would be more economic to transport further, hence I suppose the plan to supply Paraguay.
t1995 heyhoe was responsible for the most disastrous ramping of the share and was just shifty. as mentioned years ago, his raison d etre seems to have been ripping off investors by misleading so called forecasts.
