In since 2020 first bought a small amount at about 480 (new money) but added and averaged down quite a bit so very much enjoying the current rally. Can't add any more as this is now 90%+ of my portfolio...

My pullout plan is wait until we get LSE Main Market listing then sell shortly after. I don't think the gold price is falling whilst the world is in such a mess.

I've been abstaining from new KOD purchases because it's already disappointed me enough over the years without adding more, but given the latest updates and increasing spod price I think it's time to start accumulating again! Just got my first little top up in a while.

Why would price turn around here or blast off or do anything at all? Nothing has really changed has it? I really expect we'll just bob up and down around here until there's an announcement or we creep closer to spring...

Seems like a no-brainer from here. Too big for AIM, already on SETS, could enter the FTSE 250 and force index buying in relatively short time frame which will further reward existing shareholders. Reckon we'll do it this year? I think if that is announced then the price will be poppin'

I just think now that USA is planning to take Venezuela's oil and has started the process (the kidnapping), surely that devalues other oil projects in the US. I'm not buying any more until either things are due to start up again in spring, or when Trump has to give up on his stupid idea to run Venezuela and steal the oil.

No idea what the RNS is about as I'm more of a vibe investor... but the vibe I'm getting from comments here is that it was an overreaction and possibly some stop losses getting triggered by the dip. Still just trying to average down from when I vibed all the way up to 50p

@mapp what cyber attack? AWS went down. It's always a mistake on their side, never an attack.

Yes an Amazon Web Services outage in their most important US data centre which provides some of their global services. About half of the internet was experiencing some kind of issue today because of this and as a techie I spent my morning checking and fixing things at work that were affected by it. It's mostly resolved now. It wasn't an attack. The most likely explanation (and what usually happens) is that somebody at amazon screwed up.

@Humster, I wouldn't say that is "no news".

I know everybody hates chef/sylvia, but the article sylvia linked talking about a potential fuel shortage seems pretty relevant for a company who depends on fuel for transport. No fuel, no shipping, no revenue. Unless Bernard or some other reliable source can confirm that Kod has a safe, sufficient supply of fuel and somehow won't be affected by any general shortage, then this is pretty significant news and warrants a decline in price. If anybody feels different I'd be interested to know why they aren't concerned by it?

I like the interviews where he looks really happy about the progress. Sometimes he's a bit deadpan but occasionally he just can't help it!

I think the RNS just sounds bad. The wording of "The Bougouni team emphasised to the delegation the need for the export permit to be issued as soon as possible..." makes it sounds like Kodal are getting desperate and have been expecting it to arrive.

With context of three technical visits being a requirement I would feel better, but I missed that. Where was it stated that exactly three technical visits were required before the export licence could be granted?

I'd be pretty unhappy if a further delay was announced but probably wouldn't do anything differently than I am now. I'm heavily invested, hopeful that it'll work out from here, and not trying to time any drops that might happen so really I'm just praying that the only news we get from here is positive updates and no further extensions to time frames. Who knows what the next update will be... Might just be a "still working out some kinks and finalising paperwork - try again next year" \_o _/

I like the change in personality of the ChefBot. It's generating much more reasonable posts recently that I actually agree with. Perhaps it just needed some fine-tuning and training.
