CP - I think you are misunderstanding my admiration of a poster that appears realistic (not negative, realistic) about the sad state of affairs of this company, as opposed to someone who believes the asset will be given away for free....
However....I will state that I don't believe that it is beyond the realms of possibility that Scirocco will have to forfeit their stake in the asset due to not having a pot to **** in so to speak?
I am referring to the people that post most frequently (regular is self explanatory really) - usually protecting the board, despite the obvious obliteration of this company to that of a shell - for consecutive years.
I did not however indicate or highlight any particular poster - this is obvious to anyone viewing with an IQ higher than a turkey.
I was simply highlighting the fact that I admire people that aren't afraid to say it how it is...better than the constant dribble being spouted when wearing their "I love TR & DR" t-shirts.
Hi Frank, in reply to your "all on Farmout/sell" comment, they have been trying to sell the asset for 2 years now - if they had any firm interest we would of known it by now.
As for being invested here - I am AA - Do you seriously think I would waste a single second viewing this BB if I wasn't? Or are you just trying to get your message across that Mrc isn't? We know....
If that is the case - it's a BB - no stipulation to be invested in the share you wish to discuss, nor does anyone's views alter the SP in any way, shape or form....so don't let his views bother you. It really doesn't matter.
Just looked back through some of the correspondence the last week or so...
I do find it highly amusing when I come onto this board (not so much now as written it off and at peace with it), and see the usual suspects throwing personal insults anytime someone posts a negative thought towards this incompetent bunch....all the time whilst subtly ramping. Let's be honest, anyone can check the performance over the last 3 years to see who appears more trustworthy.
For the record I am still invested in this steaming pile, but only because it isn't worth selling now and at least I can admit I backed the wrong horse. It is ok people, we all make mistakes with our investments.
To all the people who rarely come onto this board could be forgiven for thinking they had fallen through a time slip and popped back 5 years with all the copy and paste posts, minus the odd word change....oh wait no sorry the SP is down a considerable amount, that gives it away!
One thing I don't understand though is if you aren't invested here MRC, why worry? People here that are genuinely under water with the surface out of sight!
Toodle pip & have a great weekend.
I agree Aimster, but the trouble is they have been trying to sell it for how long now?
Saying that, it's a double edged sword. Say they eventually manage to sell the asset for £20mil, can you even begin to imagine how dangerous these bunch of clowns would be with that kind of money!
Like asking Mcdonald's to look after you cow.....
No, we were discussing the board and how they should probably be shown the exit.
I don't think the board will last much longer, honest opinion Frank.
People waking up a bit to how things are , and I am all for it if a change turns the tide.
My guess FWIW on what will happen here.
They will not sell the asset before year end because they have no offer on the table , and commit to funding the seismic.
This will be in the belief that the asset will be worth a billion pounds come drill.
They can then carry on living the the life they have become accustomed to, good work if you can get it.
Hi Steve,
Just my opinion but I truly don't think anything will change until we have a fresh board here.
They have had more than enough time to get this company going, after all they did create Scirocco.
Truth is any new team coming in won't have much to play with atall.
They are not proactive enough in this plan B (or is it C) approach, and no excitement has been created since the announcement of the possible Onedyas acquisition.
Fundamentals have not changed here, and unless they offload then all that will be acquired is similar small fry deals which is great if done at pace and creates momentum, but judging by the previous we all know how long that first took.
Nothing to see here still and people just aren't interested.
Clinging on to any optimism by a thread now.
Their own PR told me of a truly transformational year, they need to get real the lot of them!
All very valid points Chris/Steve, and can't disagree with any of that.
Personally I think we are in a more precarious situation than many are lead to think.
Let's hope for some firm news on a sale soon, whether that be ARA or someone else. Won't hold my breath though.
