TUI SIGNS SALE AND LEASEBACK DEAL FOR THREE 737 MAX AIRCRAFT:
TUI Group confirmed the signing of a sale and leaseback agreement with BOC Aviation for five new Boeing 737 MAX-8 aircraft on Monday, for a total of $226m (£173.06m).
The FTSE 250 travel company said the first aircraft was expected to be delivered in the first quarter of the 2021 financial year, with the remaining four aircraft to be delivered ahead of the summer 2021 season.

It said that, in line with its asset-right strategy as outlined in its 2019 results, the sale and leaseback agreement with BOC Aviation would finance five new Boeing 737 MAX-8 aircraft as part of its planned re-fleeting programme.

"We expect the lease agreement with BOC Aviation, on standard commercial terms, to create a total lifetime lease obligation of around €223m to commence by the end of the 2021 financial year," the TUI board said in its statement.

"We expect further sale and leaseback financing on our future deliveries beyond 2021, in line with our newly agreed deferred re-fleeting programme with Boeing."

The good thing about TUI, I think I also heard someone mention is that they have the advantage in that they offer alternative holidays like cruising:

I think it's because Ryanair is seen more as a European company compared to Easyjet, which may be seen as more UK centric. So there may be a wider perception that ryanair will more easily recover. Plus Ryanair isn't at all as bad mouthed about in the news like Easyjet is

It's a good quality stock that has rarely fallen below £9 since 2012, so anything between 4-6 is very cheap I think when looking at the wider picture. The whole market seems to be reeling slightly after this week's gains, I mean since March no stock seems to be safe from the widespread profit taking that is going on. Hopefully this will baseline at £6 later today

This has struggled to break through 170 for over a month now I wonder when it will, there does seem to be a global recovery going on at the moment in the market

I put TUI in there since I think they may have lost a lot of their sales base in the UK, particularly by closing 166 shops. People love walking down the high street and just choosing holidays from their windows, in this sense I think Easyjet will just more and more become the go to in the UK. Obviously my own opinion :)

Yeah some major profit taking after the quick rise the past 2 days but that seems to have stopped now, just wait for the institutional investors to come along during the intratrade and you'll see another spike tomorrow morn

Scaremongering in the news over closing and second wave is coming to an end, also more of their places reopening e.g Wales & Scotland. Increasing popularity with eat out to help out ect.

Strongly believe that if a vaccine is found then it will be £15 early next year, there is going to be an unprecedented exodus of holiday goers and easyjet now can sweep up those customers who may have gone to virgin, thomas cook or tui.
Even if there is no vaccine for a while there is still a high demand- unlike in March people aren't looking for refunds, they are re-booking to go elsewhere. Out of all the covid recovery stocks airlines that have pulled have the biggest potential right now.

I agree, people who sell now are going to seriously miss out, this will fly as people book to go away for this month and September. This stock is seriously sentiment driven and there's only more good news on the way.. e.g increased flights due to demand, moving toward profitability again ect.

Director buy-ins, high demand for holidays, promises being put into practice by starting new flights today in major city airports like Manchester, hopes of a vaccine before winter... even a good chance in the coming years to pick up where Virgin and Thomas Cook have left off!

Do not kid yourself i'd pull out of this asap before the pump and dumpers pull out at 4pm

Anyone think that easyjet could go higher than they've been in the next year or so? Just look at how well banks recovered after the 2008 crash, will it be the same for airlines once a vaccine is found? Easyjet will have massive room and scope for acquisitions next year as other companies go under and more people than ever will be keen to go away (as revealed in the recent report). Any thoughts on this?

I agree, technology stocks also seem to have the potential to boom with the increase in permanent and part time home working

Think the firm is doing financially well, the low price today is just news sentiment driven (i.e may close pubs)
