Newcrest will do all they can to acquire Scallywag. It's proximity to Telfer , coupled with the possibility it's as big or bigger than Havieron, will IMO, encourage NC to assist GGP in any way possible to take a look down quite a few holes, with little to no cost to GGP. It's in their interests to do so.

GH now holds all the aces wrt Scally and Haverion has given him license to name his price.

If and I stress if, Hav contains 20 moz and trends to Scally, which may hold similar at shallower depth, it would be remiss of Sandeep Biswas to not tie up Scallywag sooner than later.
This for the future of Telfer is a must and a no brainer.

The economics for rail transport into Telfer gets even stronger, if SB manages to bring TWO, Tier 1 gold/copper discoveries into Telfer that are on his doorstep, then he gets legendary status at Newcrest.

To achieve this, he either makes another JV for Scallywag or he has to bite the bullet and go all in. Failure to do this leaves him at risk of losing it to a competitor and remember, we're in his backyard.

The BOD at Newcrest will have discussed every scenario regarding GGP in part or whole.

Over to you Mr Biswas, it's your call, that's what you get paid big bucks for.
