It will be interesting to see how transition goes over next decade, I'm of the opinion that a high percentage of public give little thought to the origin of the food they eat and are more interested in flavour.

2029 £3 IMO DYOR - Buying ANIC in 2019 is like buying INTEL in 1989 - clever money is quietly tucking these away while mainstream investors snooze. In the coming decade population growth, climate change, personal health and animal welfare will all be key trends and clean meat ticks every box. There's already increasing awareness of negative impacts of our lifestyles, for example plastic use which has suddenly been bought into sharp focus by a relatively small activist movement. The amount of dirty secrets in meat production is massive but not widely recognised because people all over the world just love eating meat. When we reach a point where lab grown is a viable alternative the take-up will be rapid.

Why would we panic? They're plant based, we're lab grown, like comparing apples and hairdryers...

Fair points Boards, the AIM factor is always a real risk but it’s also where the ground floor opportunities are so no choice at the moment. When we get affordable lab meat is IMO 5-10 years from now and then a steady improvement in price and quality over following 20 years until the process is perfected. I’m imagining the industry to progress in some ways like microchip development from 1970s to present day, with individual winners and losers during the birth of a new mega industry. As I’ve said before I’m expecting a very bumpy ride here but eventually a big prize for those who can last the distance.

Boards, think big on this; China, India & Africa are the huge markets that will adopt clean meat without hesitation. Back in Europe and US there will be a brief period of hand-wringing before consumers go all-in. Just my opinion!

It’s not hard to imagine a snowball of FOMO cash pouring into this sector as word spreads. I’m definitely a believer but realistic about inevitable bumps in the road which will no doubt be exploited by short term traders. Get in early and stay long is my strategy here DYOR

Personally I'm hoping there will be more dips to buy into and hold for the big win in 2-5 years when public opinion tips our way.
