How patient? There's been no growth in 5 years.

Xd on Thursday, so I won't be slicing before then, and it'll drop back.

Presumably there's some buying in to collect the div. which would account for some of the rise.

Nothing wrong with doing both - keep a core holding and also trade the dips and peaks.

If it gets to £20 I'm hoping to topslice some.

Mind you, I've said that a few times and never done it.

I'd like to trade SSE more but I'd prefer to reduce my core holding a bit before I try that.

That's not what the 5 year chart shows, the SP is pretty much back at what it was then.

It does look like a good company to hold for income.

Or to trade the regular swings.

I should have held on a bit longer too. Didn't want to see my 20% shrink away.

Oh well, still have plenty more held for long term.

3 month chart pretty much the same as Entain, who were re-rated today.

I've sold my short term trade today @ 1005p (bought @ 829p on 18th June).

I've a feeling that's as good as I'll get for a while, and it's way over my initial target of 900p.

I still have a larger long term tranche looking for longer term gains. I suspect it'll drag on for a long time yet.

I might have another go if there's any dips.

If there was any prospect of it ever making any money then SS would be backing it himself.

It's far better for him to fool investors into paying him half a million a year.

Normally I'd have been back in when in dropped to 4500p, but held back this time.

Didn't think it would go as low as 4000p so decided under 4200p was worth a punt.

Still quite risky with current world situation though.

I'm tempted to sell in the run up to results, as many shares fall on results day no matter how good the results.

I hold a lot of Yu, nice fat dividend this week.

I'm in today at 4191p looking for a quick trade (aiming for 4600p).

I've traded RIO a few times, it's one I'm not too bothered if I end up holding for a while at it always seems to recover eventually, and the dividends are nice.

Looking at the 5 year chart, regular trading RIO seems a better strategy than LTH.

I wonder how shoplifting rates from Greggs compares with corner shops.

It does make me think how well Greggs has placed itself in competition with fast food chains and convenience shops.

Something I noticed in a small Greggs on Saturday - no toilet. I thought that was a requirement if they had tables as well as takeaway.

I reckon Greggs are also in competition with places like newsagents selling sandwiches, which have open displays.
