You'll see this quite often. Someone raises genuine concerns and others assume they are trying to push the share price down. Comments on forums like this do not move the market. I saw the same thing during AML’s decline.

Just to clarify, are you speaking from the position of a manufacturer/distributor, or as another hire provider supplying into contracts (e.g. cross-hire)?

Trying to better understand the context, as it sounds like this is happening not just at the OEM level but also within the rental supply chain itself.

Speedy didn’t pay £35m just for referrals. They bought a 5-year, high-visibility supply contract guiding at £50–55m annual revenue + 10% equity stake in the rebadged HSS/ProService, and tighter operational density (people/depots/assets transferring). Management frames it as 2–3 year cash payback and earnings accretive in year 1. I don't see that as desperation, more like locking in profitable volume with a free call option. But I get your point always best to make sure you know what you're investing in, for sure!!

Attrition risk sits with HSS. Insider buying strong; brokers supportive.

@m007j - I was referring to the profit warning on 3rd Feb and the impact of delayed sign off on those CP7 contracts. I agree with previous comment on redundancies probably just them noticing bloating sales team when a lot is done online now, very natural move which a lot of companies have done much faster. Ultimately, I invested previously in companies where I knew people that worked there or I understood better the competitive environment so I'm learning how difficult this is with this one. I'm not expert in this case, please disregard anything as advice it's just opinion. This time I am in the dark, and only invested as I thought the Labour gov would be more proactive in this industry which appears to be something they are struggling with. That's the risk we take but I suspect they also have suppliers that are aware of movement on those contracts and financing options now are improving. Let's await the next results and we can assess!

Often the RNS is precautionary, sometimes necessary but very rarely reacted to with balance by the market. Another overreaction probably!

With at least one director and fund increasing their holdings, I'm in good company here with the feeling this was an overreaction. Bought a load at 19.5p as I don't see how one bad quarter can constitute such a massive drop in SP, but there's a lot of dodgy macroeconomics going on atm so who knows!

I think that's a nice re-entry, hoping for a decent end to the week. I did something similar, bought at 28.5p took a div and sold at 38p, so I have to bear that in mind this time as I'm back in at 33p. I also hope Mr Evans sees fit to be consistent with the next div. In any case, we have to be willing to leave this a few years this time as things could get rocky. Very confident at some point this will exceed 50p, just depends how long... GLA!

Was very wrong about the pace of this one sold all at 69p but made a nice chunk from 37.5p average. Next report will be interesting to see how the mortgage book sell off washed through... Liquidated my ISA to buy a new house and put the remainder on SDY, check it out. If you bought into MTRO you're an opportunity seeker like myself... 7% yield, very depressed ratios and Labour gov that wants to spark an affordable house building boom. Just exchanged on a lovely house and have no skin in this one but will be watching closely. Regardless of what anyone says C26 has been bang on the money thus far. Liquidated my whole ISA and C26 saved me a nice chunk to buy the house. I've left £35k in and £33k of it has gone entirely on SDY, check it out. Nice 7% yield, very depressed PE ratio, various investments yet to mature ,solid plan and a Labour Gov planning 1.5m new homes. Very low risk IMO. If I can get so more money next year and the dreaded cash raise materialises I'm back in at the next value opportunity... I work in F1 too, big fan of AML but I think some of you need to be a bit less emotional about this one. Very high chance this needs at least one more round of refinancing in 2025... GLA, I'll be rooting for you!

Had to liquidate my ISA to buy a new house. Decided everything I have left in the ISA (around £35k) is going on Speedy. They say hedge your bets but I'm so confident in a double up within 3 years all my eggs are in this basket. Even if that doesn't happen it's still a 7% yield. I want to do a 2 storey extension in a few years and need £100k to do it. May put more in if the SP is still depressed come April 2025. But 2026 will be the big one, Labour will be splashing cash on their 1.5m affordable house build plan and the other recent investments will mature as per the latest report. Moreover this business model has a lot of leverage to drive bottom line margins. Let's see if I am correct this time in 2 years! GLA!
