I get your desire for optimism even when its clearly not called for by the shambles we have suffered the last 6 months - seriously I do.

Its not about 'caring' about linkedin its about the actual information posted ie she apparnetly states she is 'part time', you dont have to be Sherlock Homes to catch on thats different from 'full time' and not as good. Really.

I'd prefer a leap in the share price Soup, but it looks to me like its a rational explanation of recent events. Others may disagree love to hear their thought.

As an LTH I find this simply staggering. So our great new CEO apparently boasted on Linkedin that she was 'part time', presumably to rake in yet more dosh from other potential mug companies that might employ her also 'part time'. She was caught out, IR brilliantly spotted the problem, & changed her profile - so right, thats all OK she must now be full time & fully committed to shareholder value now - right?

Yet again, yet again, what a disgusting shambles from Blackwell. I used to think he launched a coup against Dave & Dan, but actually I now think thats exaggerating his foresight. A coup suggests he had a plan & a strategy, and frankly it looks increasingly like he had neither - he is just making it up as he goes along. How many actual shares does he own - in solidarity with the shareholders he 'represents' - is that still zero, genuine question?

Good point about Canada, this is a North American deal - in their backyard not Africa - should ring bells in Canada.

Shaa, the main dilution issue appears to be "COPL Common Shares to Atomic Shareholder(s): $4 million priced at closing".
So the COPL price level at closing is clearly crucial, completion is given as 31 January 2021. Whether additional cash needs to be raised via placings is not clear but i don't see anybody getting in @ 0.19p.

Finally operationally de-risked. No more dilution needed for daily running costs, which has been the killer for shareholder value for 10 years now. There is going to be dilution for the takeover cost but thats acceptable for in return for operating assets. If we manage to get OPL226 and/or marginal field news before 31 January, that is v advantageous for existing shareholders.

At last, agree with all the positive comments, she must be confident of the prospects to sign up. Hopefully deal news will be next, counter-parties now know who they call & who they will be dealing with going forward.

I would certainly agree that nobody currently has inside info, the Blackwell regime has succeeded in cutting off info flows to all shareholders. Thus far their main 'success'.

Just extrapolating from the posts over the last three years from those who have posted on here with 'inside information'. FYI I am not one of them & have had no contact with NFX senior management past or present.

Soup, first off the leak to the Times a year ago specifically mentioned Kissei & this was not denied by either company. Second, the then senior management of NFX mentioned Kissei repeatedly to major shareholders with whom they were in contact. There has indeed not been any official confirmation or denial, but it was Kissei with whom Dan was in detailed negotiations right up until his last days in June 2020. If Kissei are no longer in the picture this is not positive for us shareholders.

Took place on 18 November 2010. Back then institutions were taking big stakes at £1.56 & up, presumably anticipating making a multiple of that. Getting back to IPO levels next year would be a good start.

Soup, I for one have never praised Keegan, Blackwell or the IR woman. I thought the BOD manoeuvrings that led to Dave & Dan having to exit were a huge mistake (particularly as Dan was negotiating with Kissei at the time). If Blackwell can get Kissei or an equivalent over the line soon, we shareholders will have got something out of the mess he created. If he cant then we need new leadership.

I also agree with Offshore about Keegan. I voted against him at the last AGM & will do so again at the next, if he last that long.

Good research Soup. But depressing, a full time CEO is likely needed to finalise deals, not least because the counter-party will understandably want to know who they are going to be working with. "Coming Soon" doesn't cut it in the real world.
