Very interesting piece :)

Following positive #preclinical data analysis and a toxicology report confirming studies have met their objectives,
@Sareumplc
's proprietary TYK2/JAK1 inhibitor, SDC-1801 is on track to commence a Phase 1a #clinicaltrial in H2 2022.

Apologies if any have been posted previously, but a few interesting (IMO) pieces -
1. Addition of Chk1 inhibitor and BMP4 cooperatively promotes retinal tissue formation in self-organizing human pluripotent stem cell differentiation culture:
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2352320421001000?via%3Dihub
"Chk1 inhibitor (Chk1i) have been well studied in cancer treatment that uses monotherapy or combination therapies [22]. Recently, Feng et al. identified a new role of Chk1i where it cooperated with rhBMP4 in promoting differentiation of mesoderm or cytotrophoblast stem cells from hESCs [23]. This report suggested that Chk1i PD407824 (PD) increased the sensitivity of cells to sub-threshold concentration of rhBMP4 during hESC differentiation. Therefore, Chk1i may have great potential to modulate the fate of various stem/progenitor cells in combination with the BMP signaling pathway."
2. JAK signaling was involved in the pathogenesis of Polymyalgia Rheumatica:
https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2022.03.10.22272242v1
"Many inflammatory genes associated with JAK signaling are highly enriched in PBMCs from patients with PMR. Tofacitinib, a pan JAK inhibitor effectively treated the PMR patients with clinical remission and sharply decreased in CRP and ESR in this pre-clinical trial study. Tofacitinib may effectively treat PMR patients."
3. Effects of Vertical Transmission of Respiratory Viruses to the Offspring:

Some fascinating science on Interferons, JAK/STAT pathway, & you guessed it - Interleukins in this article :)
