And the mechanics could be quite simple given 60% [40% ex Larry] held by about 10 cos and 10% held by about 5 mutual funds.

Won't take long to negotiate if the price is right.

With a recent £2.5 target from both Berenberg & Citibank, got to be worth a safe punt - its the best UK tech co and a world leader and standard setter.

Using patents on industrial processes are very interesting. I was the auditor of Bodycote PLC many years ago - a well respected metal heat treatment company who were to a large degree dependent upon protected trade secrets.

And therein lied the rub. Patents are ideas, and granted if novel etc. They don’t have to actually work - just be novel and in theory it could work. So, they applied for patents that were close to working but not . Competitors all excited when the 20 years is up, use the now public information and are happy. But Bodycote filed the real process a few weeks later 😎. They are now to global go to company.

And why did they tell us? Because we had to confirm a hefty intangible asset valuation with one year to go - or not!! .

Never forgot this as being exceptional shrewd business. Are they alone?

Just confirming it’s in play - and we all know why .

Absolutely. Vel has some possibly valid points but not convinced. Why? As Jeremy Irons famously said in Margin Call ( twice). This is it . THIS IS IT . It’s the perfect storm of the decade and you hold most of the cards. Play them and enjoy the ride, don’t freeze or another quote : if you’re going to Wall Street, act like it . It’s more brash but VASTLY more profitable than LSE & TSX.

We are annoyed with an unheard of double discount rate. The effect is massive - do a DCF sensitivity analysis with varying rates and you’ll be flabbergasted at what a difference it makes.

Don’t forget we are the only junior to have a metal trading division - and high margin. Until half year report we won’t know exact details but it is conceivable the income could equate to our mcap. Now we can see how undervalued it is - and as there are so few shares, our mcap has barely moved

To add, be in no doubt there’s quite a few nasty folk who are dying to get their greedy mits on your scarce shares - we are in the middle of their grubby plan which most can see. But you always win if you just do nothing

Spot on. Given loans ( and no doubt grants to come) the WACC is much lower which drastically changes the figures - upwards.

Very predictable really. For the last few months, trading has been designed to transfer retail holdings to iis / HNWI

Drops on nothing, NT on and off, inconsistent delayed reporting, after hour trades etc etc. Get folks to take profit as its all too inexplecible / volatile

This only happens when a share is in play.
