Are many of the posters on this board attending the GM in person or just voting by proxy. Would be interested to hear? Also, does anyone know the format......specifically, will there be an opportunity to put questions to the board before voting? I've asked VAL directly but didn't get a clear reply on this.
I would always expect the exercise price of the options to be at the SP level at the time of issuing. I have no problem with the new CEO being incentivised to deliver value to shareholders - if he gets the share price up to 50p in the next few years, then I would be delighted regardless of the £4.25m he could make should he exercise all of his options at that time. Good luck to him and to everyone else.
Another positive RNS but i would have preferred one about settlement of litigation. Beggars, choosers and all that.
"and is also adapting its product development roadmap in light of the UK Court's first instance interpretations of the NIPT patents in question"- if they are able to develop a new NIPT which can circumnavigate the illumina patents that would be a game changer and would put litigation to bed once and for all. Not sure how achievable this and what the possible time frames could look like.
Hence my anger a few days ago......the update to shareholders directly from BOD clearly stated April. As it is a trading update only there is no reason why this couldn't have been issued in the first week of this month. Awful people.
Time for him to pack his bags and go back to talking to the animals........he and his team are incapable of delivering positive news which will return value to shareholders. Pants pulled down by illumina Clueless when it comes to running a business
I am pretty certain they sit at their desks throughout April just praying that something will fall in to their laps so they can have something tangibly positive to include in the trading update. This is the BOD which never has anything positive to report and has to leave every update as late as possible
Can't see BOD bucking the trend of disappointing shareholders.......will be very surprised if they show B/E. They will almost certainly have some good excuses though.
I just assume that they are busy attending conferences and trade shows and working tirelessly to expand the global business. Would rather receive some more meaningful and material news. Anyway, my criticism of the BOD over the last couple of days, having previously defended them during the share price slump, seems to be having a positive effect!
only company that i know which releases RNS about attending a conference
also, if they really do have positive trading news to release then i would like to see them do it early in the month rather than waiting until the latest possible date as is their usual way
I hope you're right but personally i have no faith in these clowns and this is based purely on the all time low SP that we have today
There is no confirmation that B/E will be achieved anytime soon and I don't expect 2019 trading to be significantly better than previous estimates. Remember this is Dr Do Little and his team that we are talking about and they have been shown to be completely inept. The whole market agrees hence the current valuation and not one closer to 21p. I know it's very easy to slate the whole lot of them but they can't have any complaints based on where the SP is today.
Do we know when this transcript was published? Can't believe we have to learn about these developments in public forums. BOD are beyond incompetent. Regardless of whether this ruling is material or not there should have been an RNS
I did think that judgement could have been so damming for us that they are busy calling in the administrators but no press releases on Illumina website......so if a judgement had been made then it would need to be announced immediately i would have thought. Can only assume either settlement talks are taking place or that no judgement has been handed down yet......is it not possible that hearing could last a number of days?
Hope it pays off for you Steve.......we are all due a bit of good news/fortune
Assuming no settlement is reached in the near future, do we know the timescales for the appeal process? When is the next hearing due? I can't see any dates mentioned in the Jan RNS. It would be good to know if something (court wise) is likely to progress in the next few months or if we are looking at the end of this year or even in to 2019 for the next step in the process.
Would love to have a line drawn under the whole litigation thing. But we can only settle if there is willing on the other side to deal. If the only terms being offered are massively punitive then it's just not an option to settle at any cost and we are better off taking our chances through the appeal process.
Has to be viewed as the best possible outcome that we could have hoped for.......in 12 months time we should be profitable and UK even less than the 15% of t/o that it is today. So even if we lose the appeal, we should be able to survive it. IMHO would rather us see the appeal through than reach settlement with them.
Assume it's a within day hearing/decision?
