RE: This company is sick17 Jan 2020 10:11
Thank you Darth, lets hope its a good year for everyone. There will be winners and losers this year, that's for sure.
Agreed, its not looking good yet, but then it's not quite looking are dire as it has been either for the last 3-5 years.....Star is a strange beast, with the debt potentially cleared (nothing certain till its done as we know from the Rigs sale).
So you're left with a company with no debt, some rigs and a team looking for a new Golden asset to reboot with. Doubt they'll go under now if they clear the debt, but they don't have a lot of spending cash. Could go either of two ways, nothing much happens for months then a cash raise for new asset or they find (potential) rig buyer number 2 and also raise extra cash to have a decent pot to play with for a new asset. Their track record for buying wonderful new assets its pretty **** poor though with a few years of trying before write offs.
Either way those people on high averages wont get any satisfaction, they are high and dry now, whereas the "star" investors should see some kind of rise from these prices. Traders like us could get some giggles along the way if the volume rises and the joke spread comes off.
