Through the Political Declaration issued today to establish this partnership, partner countries will mobilise an initial $8.5 billion (R131 billion) over the next three to five years through a range of instruments, including grants and concessional finance, to support the implementation of our revised NDC through a just transition to a low carbon and climate resilient economy.
The highly concessional finance that will be mobilised through this partnership will accelerate investment in renewable energy and the development of new sectors such as electric vehicles and green hydrogen. This will provide a significant boost to investment and growth while ensuring Eskom can access resources to finance repurposing of coal fired power-stations due for decommissioning over the next 15 years.

"China will also reduce the emissions intensity of its GDP by more than 65 percent by 2030 and step up its wind and solar capacity to more than 1,200 gigawatts."
That 1,200 GW might need a little coupled storage..... around 120GW per year until 2030, mind blowing scale from China. And guess what, they seem to like VFRBs. GLA.

Chinese vanadium prices have continued to rise in the past week after rebounding off three months of decreases on a tightening of supply, with traders keeping their offers steady amid improved demand among steelmakers.
Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for vanadium pentoxide 98% V2O5 min, exw China was 108,000-110,000 yuan ($16,881-17,195) per tonne on Thursday October 21, up by 10,000-13,000 yuan per tonne (12.1%) from 95,000-100,000 yuan per tonne a week earlier.

Halespur, I fully agree that people shouldn't abandon LSE for telegram but am happy to participate in both. To me they serve different purposes with LSE being an important window to the outside world while the telegram chat is very useful also, it can't attract passing trade. The importance of LSE is confirmed by the efforts the trolls have made to disrupt here. There are quite a few that post/share on both and hopefully will continue to do so. I actually get more frustrated with the people who should know better that respond to obvious trolls here and give them oxygen.
