Now Invested.23 Feb 2017 22:07
Sold my BT shares for a tidy profit (bought £3.04, sold £3.30)and have now bought into Whitbread (£10,000 at £38.84 and £23,000 at £38.24).
Whitbread, in my opinion, is a very well run company and operate in areas where there will always be a strong consumer demand. I will probably hold these shares long term and bank the dividends. I will also start visiting Costa a bit more and start booking Premier Inn instead of Travelodge. I notice that there are shareholder perks available ie free £5.00 voucher for Costa, 10% off meals and free Sunday stay in Premier Inn if you also book (full price) on the Saturday--not brilliant but certainly better than nothing.
It will also be a change investing in a company where nasty shocks will be few and far between.
