BMW said more than half the money it plans to invest in Mexico – 500 million euros – is earmarked for a battery assembly center on the carmaker’s existing plant grounds, and some 500 additional workers will work there.

Could this be a sign BMW have reassurance Ganfeng are able to supple and possibly export batteries to Europe so for 2025 production and car production in Mexico later in 2027?

Nedeljkovic continued: “The first cars of the NEUE KLASSE will come off the production line at our plant in Debrecen, Hungary, starting in 2025, followed by the main plant in Munich. We will achieve additional volumes by integrating the NEUE KLASSE at Plant San Luis Potosí from 2027 onwards.”

I've read through the IRIS BB and there's a great deal of confidence in the board and of course IRIS in suspension since 23/12/2022

Just possibilities of course but could be a short term gain for us in valuation if there's interest from Australian investors that does seem very likely.

Just a couple of days away from 80 ambassadors visiting to see the Sonora plan, well the solar part which doesn't really seem that entertaining to me!

Considering Ganfeng could have been in production late 2023 and the GM article implies supply from LAC circa 2025 was it a warning shot so to speak tying up the full supply from Thacker Pass!

Then we have Core dropping any planned supply deals to Tesla!

LTH's let's be honest the major N/A car giants missed out by not seeing what laid ahead and in 2015 the only probable customer would have been Tesla but Bacanora was back then anticipated to be funded and in production by 2019 - fact is it should have been - think disruption and the incumbent!

Imagine 2015 news of GM paying $650m to secure Thacker Pass supply.......could have been $150m or less I'm sure.

I would take a wager on the new factory being for the new mass produced Tesla - just all fits on cost and the fact other factories seem to be announced for the known models and battery production- as far as I can tell - it's getting fierce out there as the manufacturers face up to the challenge of supply chains and competition - the inflation reduction act has certainly stirred things up!

Will Tesla flip this:

And recently BYD gave targets of 4 million for 2023 but rumour has it that Tesla will announce an entry level Tesla that will be under $25,000 and have half the production cost of the the model 3:
