With you on that view @EV_Bull, I do expect any movement to factor in more than one project as hopefully anyone new coming onboard see the merits of the full portfolio.

Could all depend on the terms given to Ganfeng being favourable that just might see them make an offer for the JV's as I was expecting to be the case prior to the mining reforms being voted on last year giving that uncertainty.

The Ministry of Economy, with Taddei as technical adviser, leads the negotiations with large companies to define the future role of the State in the exploitation of those lands. Taddei refuses, once again, to give more details about the talks because, he says, they are private, but he says that there are at least five in progress and that before the end of the first half of the year there could be an announcement about what will happen with the deposit at the La Ventana ranch, in Sonora, the site in the country that already has the most advances for the production of the metal and whose works were being led by Ganfeng Lithium.

According to lawyers in the sector, the presidential decree published on February 18, when López Obrador visited the town of Bacadéhuachi, gives sufficient signs to infer that the Chinese mining company will not be allowed to exploit the deposit, At least not alone, as he had planned.*** But Taddei responds with a resounding no*** when asked if the concession will be taken away from the company so that it is the State that takes the main role without the company within the plans:

The Mexican State, although it sounds hackneyed, is respectful of the law and that has been an order from the president from the beginning. Concessions will be respected

Negotiations with the mining companies that have a concession such as the Chinese Ganfeng Lithium are still in process, the Executive has put on the table of the Legislature a reform that intends to make a major surgery to the Mining Law and it is not yet defined what they will be the sites where LitioMX which is still a decentralized public body of the Ministry of Energy and not a state company will begin to work.

Considering Ganfeng have a revised production date of 2H 2024 you would expect construction to be underway very soon if of course the circumstances suit!
