@Jones64,
Politics is unfortunately something that should be a consideration, Trump is holding back the funding to Ukraine by instructing the speaker of the house not to hear the bill, that is also tied in with the Mexican border policies/funding.
Trump is holding back that essential funding, he's ties with Viktor Orban should also be a concern where Orban wants Ukraine to surrender to Russian - the implication of Russia taking Ukraine!
Trump wants to be a dictator!
Even the republicans are trying to pressurise Mike Johnson to hear the bill:
https://youtu.be/IiGbpaS9zmk?si=hsWWVETwQ2HOrff1
Anyone supporting Trump on this has Ukraine blood on their hands.
The Mexican border was by-partisan formulated bill - Trump doesn't want any resolution on the Mexican border that Biden would get political wind from:
This is American politics and MAGA Trump at it's worst:

I didn't know this as he mentions in the YT video:

Prominent Chinese carmakers and electric vehicle (EV) battery giants, including BYD and CATL, have united to establish the China All-Solid-State Battery Collaborative Innovation Platform (CASIP).
This pioneering initiative, first reported by Nikkei Asia, aims to spearhead the development and commercialisation of all-solid-state batteries for EVs, potentially transforming the global EV market
@Skelly85, in a two horse race:
what blew my mind yesterday was that i realised that the left have gone soo woke and extremist, (borderline authoritarian) that being a central, rational person, i am now more aligned with trump who is a total *******. how the **** has that happened!
Let's say you expressed a preference for Trump!
I wouldn't put My Last Quid on it - but why post that in the first place.
@Jonesy64,
I also hope Trump doesn't get the votes in November, and do believe it will cause a market crash -- that never likes has been seen before (bit of Trump dramatics)
But seriously, Viktor Orban's meeting with Trump reveals all, they will cause mayhem within NATO:
https://youtu.be/Ai2tJa_hoLk?si=XWMiwfahXd9xk6HB&t=69
I'm not so sure Skelly85 understands who he is backing and the implications that will have for NATO.
Still, you won't see any gender affirming in Hungary and beyond if you want to live in such a 'democracy'
Invited by the Chinese, translation is a little broken
https://www.24-horas.mx/2024/03/07/alfonso-durazo-atiende-en-china-proyectos-de-energia-digital-y-de-acumuladores/
On his working tour of China , the governor of Sonora, Alfonso Durazo Montaño held meetings with directors of companies specialized in the new energy sectors and the manufacturing of energy storage products, which show interest in exploring investments in Sonora.
During the meeting between the Sonoran president and entrepreneurs who focus their business model on digital energy (solar, wind and storage energy generation), manufacturing intelligence (industrial robots and smart manufacturing equipment) and the integration of digital intelligence ( energy engineering services), a Round Table of Agreements was held where the renewable energy project of the Government of Sonora was announced and an invitation was extended to them to visit the state to learn first-hand its details.
**It should be noted that this company**currently works with more than 70 of the most prestigious companies globally.
Likewise, with leading entrepreneurs in innovative new energy technologies, which have five innovation centers and 13 global production bases for batteries, an analysis and discussion table was held for a possible installation of a manufacturing plant in Sonora and Thus, linking the ecosystem to Mexico.
Another of the companies that participated in the series of meetings with the Government of Sonora, is specialized in the sectors of digital energy, integrated business energy and investment strategies in the industry, has a presence in 40 countries and has achieved a portfolio of more of 4 thousand clients.
**Most likely this is across several companies he met with.
I'm glad we have started legal proceeding independently of Ganfeng, they might be influenced by the Chinese gov on any legal actions they can pursue against the Mexican gov.
I'm backing Biden, Greenpeace have an explanation

Revenue from the Willow project is dwarfed by the figures from fair taxes to the billionaires and corporations who will contribute trillions to the US economy under Biden instead of a 3 trillion deficit under Trump.
Maybe a smart move by Biden giving some leeway to the large fossil fuel companies with the knowledge that oil production is in decline, China is predicted to see a 10%-12% drop this year:
Https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/Chinese-Oil-Demand-Growth-Is-Set-to-Slow-as-Sales-of-EVs-and-LNG-Trucks-Climb.html
Growth in EV sales and LNG-powered trucks would shave between 10% and 12% off the country’s demand for gasoline and diesel just this year, Lu Ruquan, president of CNPC’s Economics and Technology Research Institute, said as quoted by Bloomberg.
The IRA is already being be funded regardless of the Willow project and producing the desired results, considering the Willow project isn't due to come online until 2029 I don't see how that can a source of funds for the IRA that runs from 2023 to 2030 - I understand 15% tax is the source for the IRA, Biden wants to increase that to 21% - you might look want to look at the facts on this link:
FACT SHEET: One Year In, President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act is Driving Historic Climate Action and Investing in America to Create Good Paying Jobs and Reduce Costs

Not perfect by far, but when it comes to EV's and lithium I'll stick with Biden.
I do pity the young girls pregnant through rape or insest who have to carry the child under the GOP and Trump's supreme court ruling, still that will cost them in November.
As S&P Global noted in a January report, the EV and battery industries got a big leg up from two key pieces of Democratic-led legislation that passed under Biden: the Inflation Reduction Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
Both bills earmarked many billions of dollars for clean energy initiatives, including a national buildout of EV charging infrastructure, expanded tax credits for electric vehicles and federal loans and subsidies to retool existing auto factories and retrain workers.
If Trump wins reelection, he may look to curb these laws and change or eliminate federal funding for the EV industry, according to S&P Global. “A reversal or reduction of federal subsidies could cause OEMs, suppliers and battery companies to rethink their product and investment strategy, particularly as it relates to North American sourcing,” the report noted. That, in turn, could have an impact on both the gas-powered and electric vehicle sectors by helping the former and hurting the latter.
As part of President Biden’s Investing in America agenda and Bidenomics, the Biden-Harris Administration is announcing new actions to lower the cost of electric vehicles (EVs) for Americans and build a convenient, reliable, Made-in-America EV charging network. Thanks to President Biden’s Investing in America agenda, the Biden-Harris Administration is already delivering major progress to electrify the great American road trip. Since the President took office, EV sales have more than quadrupled, with more than four and a half million EVs on the road. EV ownership is more affordable than ever before, with prices down over 20% from one year ago. The number of publicly available charging ports has also grown by over 70 percent, with 170,000 publicly available EV chargers across the country, putting us on track to deploy 500,000 chargers by 2026 – achieving the President’s goal four years early
Yes, Tesla isn't flavour of the month, but didn't Obama rescuse Tesla from the brink with &400m + dollars.
I'll back the one who is pro EV and Storage, it's not Trump - simple, Trumps gets in then your dreams of a thriving lithium industry will be set back at least five years - IMHO
Let alone instability in Europe, all those funds might need redirecting towards strengthening the European NATO members, The US won't be behind them with Trump.
https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/02/13/bolton-trump-2024-nato-00141160#:~:text=%E2%80%9CHis%20goal%20here%20is%20not,expressed%20dismay%20at%20Trump's%20tenure.
“Look, I was there when he almost withdrew, and he’s not negotiating,” said Bolton, who served as Trump’s national security adviser. “His goal here is not to strengthen NATO, it’s to lay the groundwork to get out.”
I'll be out of AIM if Trump gets the vote, a second term will cause mayhem - IMHO
Well, let me see, well through my lens on world events - obviously not yours, but its okay to have different views in a democracy
The US appetite for storage and EV's since the IRA $370bn just might put a strain on global lithium demand in coming months. Trump will reverse that from day one, in 2017 during his first days in office he replaced the EPA head with an oil industry lobbyist.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Pruitt
Edward Scott Pruitt (born May 9, 1968) is an American attorney, lobbyist and Republican politician from the state of Oklahoma. He served as the 14th Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from February 17, 2017, to July 9, 2018, during the Donald Trump presidency, resigning while under at least 14 federal investigations.[2] Pruitt denies the scientific consensus on climate change.[3
Heaven forbid Trump gets into power, lithium investments in Europe will be the least of your worries, project 2025 has 2,000 people lined up to take senior roles in government Trump wants to be a dictator.
https://edition.cnn.com/2024/03/08/politics/trump-orban-mar-a-lago/index.html
Trump praises ‘fantastic’ Viktor Orbán while hosting Hungarian autocrat at Mar-a-Lago:
“There’s nobody that’s better, smarter or a better leader than Viktor Orbán. He’s fantastic,” the former president told a crowd gathered for a concert at the Florida resort, as shown in a series of videos posted to Orbán’s Instagram account.
Trump added that the European autocrat is “a noncontroversial figure because he said, ‘This is the way it’s going to be,’ and that’s the end of it, right? He’s the boss and … he’s a great leader, fantastic leader. In Europe and around the world, they respect him.”

Lithium demand from producers of power batteries, energy storage and others will keep growing amid "an irreversible trend" of global energy transition, Ganfeng Lithium Chairman Li Liangbin told Reuters on Friday.
@Jonesy65 (apologies 54)
I doubt the US will be conned again- Although the worries I have are with foreign influence as was the case in 2016 with Russia and social media bots and sponsored manipulation.

That's a big drop in a year for a country with the oil demand of China - the cheaper cars are coming as well as competitive models across the the entire auto spectrum. Let's see how this year plays out will lithium supply keep up with demand?
@Jonesy54,
not a chance that will happen:
Think they’re all waiting for Trump to be elected and dump the IRA, and take the US back to the Mayflower landings…Drill drill was his mantra.
Batteries will hit $50 / KWh and that's 3 years sooner than even Tony Seba, predicted, 2030 he suggested cost would hit $35 KWh, that could be 5 years sooner. -- $100 / KWh was said to be price parity with ICE
Joe Biden gave the speech of the union address earlier today and absolutely nailed it, silencing the sleepy Joe MAGA cult

@REMmakemerich, have you posted on a wrong BB? I'm trying to make sense of your post with news potentially due over the next few weeks, I'm surprised those trades went through, hopefully a good sign there's interest in the stock,
