RE: Missing the point19 Nov 2021 00:34
Good post Sandgrounded ,agree with your favourite suggestions. I also had thoughts as to why a modest placing was being made right now ....given recent interviews and assurances of being fully funded for at least another 12 months, so I was somewhat suprised just like other shareholders reactions etc.
With respect to your favourite suggestions.
"1) a pre- requisite raise to allow the full bank loan scenario for Havieron and our other assets."
Agree quite possibly as Hydro has already suggested tonight.
"2) a way to allow shorters to cash out by participating in the fund raising."
Do they have a better chance than you or I with Primary Bid? I doubt it..
From what I have gleaned through Primary Bid /Trustpilot reviews, they are not that favourable it would appear, some have already stated on here tonight that you will be very lucky indeed to get anywhere near what you asked for.
More to the point, the majority of the placing issue will most likely be purchased IMO by institution/Funds?
"3) cash needed for drilling our Havieron type twins which have just been reported (plus Scallywag drilling)"
Agree, ie Havieron lookalike targets identified in new Canning and Paterson South tenements

"Greatland Gold plc (AIM:GGP), a leading mining development and exploration company with a focus on precious and base metals, is pleased to announce it has identified two priority targets"
Funding for Canning? most possibly IMO
Re My ‘ outside the box’ thinking
"The timing suggests something has suddenly cropped up. Was someone about to make a hostile takeover bid?"
Now on that score, I don't quite follow your thinking, how could a small placing like this impact a hostile takeover? If anything it has just increased it in theory by lowering the SP to 14.50p , for now but we will have to see as it is only a small percentage of the total issued shares etc. The MM's will love this in the morning I hate to admit.
So, let's hope Sean has something up his sleeve.
