George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Well it never stops amazing me we have everything ducks in a row but, we don't have control over our GSK situation Cancer Research UK is the one we report to! They have a relationship with SIERRA so that's a real question what is going to happen?
Nothing as ever maybe the tactics to see what SAR do but getting on with the other fish we have to fry sounds like a good plan!
I raised a point in my last post that it would be interesting to know if the MP and others in Cambridge know about what SAR do and the good news is they do now! Having had courteous replies the more people realise what is going on then the more chance to get the message out could well save many people from these viruses. I do think that if every shareholder contacted their MP and key local business and asked what they know it may speed things up, financially we need every pound to count and get rid of these killer viruses. GL DYOR
The bits about Covid really do make this part of the RNS interesting, to say the least with this new variant sooner than later springs to mind. Here we are with so many things going on mostly with a positive flavour. Surely anyone in the Government who is in charge of the funding and knows the work done so far should be all over us now? Every bit of what SAR is doing on the cancer treatments are just as important but the urgent nature of Covid and the effects this is having on any positive result of the work has to be given some sort of priority from the Government end.
There has been a lot of criticism of the Government being too slow to make decisions I wonder if the MP for Cambridge knows about SAR and this work (Daniel Zeichner is a Labour MP) It may be of interest to ask him!
I look forward to the statement and closing statement from SAR on covid below I know we have a lot on at SAR and it remains my longest-held share GL and DYOR
"We look forward to updating shareholders on further progress".
From the RNS today
Importantly, this first clinical trial could also support the clinical development of SDC-1801 as a potential treatment for the severe respiratory symptoms of Covid-19. As a reminder, during 2021 we completed a six-month project, funded in part by a UK government grant, demonstrating that SDC-1801, in infected lung cells and in vivo disease models, reduces levels of key inflammatory agents known to play a role in serious and potentially life-threatening hyper-inflammatory response (the "cytokine storm") that affects some Covid-19 patients.
We are now considering how we might make use of the UK government's AGILE clinical trial platform, or other equivalent programmes, to provide additional funding and support for clinical trials with SDC-1801 for Covid-19 applications and potentially accelerate its development.
It is evident that there is still a clear need for new therapies to treat severe respiratory inflammation arising from viral infections such as Covid-19 despite the success of vaccination programmes and the availability of the first new, mainly antiviral, therapies. With TYK2 acknowledged as a key therapeutic target for severe Covid-19 in an article published in December 2020 in the leading scientific journal, Nature, we believe that SDC-1801 could have a role to play in this area in the future and we look forward to updating shareholders on further progress.
I like many have been in this share for a long time and as these patents are completed the value has to be tremendous where else are you going to find them? What is now showing up is that the exposure to potential investors is really on board I do not see why the share will become a worldwide name in many areas Cancer Covide are what SAR may well become a market leader. Let us hope that it will come into play sooner than later Good luck all as ever DYOR
So the song goes "every night and day" long time looking at screens maybe a whole year in my case doesn't bear thinking about it. So, when will we ever have a level playing field? I guess never except when this all fits together with a cure for everything SAR is about and then with an SP that would blow all away. I guess then Roy Orbison and "it over" with the fat lady singing the chorus would be on Johhny's jukebox on replay as for many here we would join in the chorus and a few other selections "money it's a drag" "money can't buy me love" so DYOR GL and remember to think lucky and you will be lucky Final tune "if i were a rich man"
Now in my longest ever shareholding and I have never doubted the long term outcome whilst it seems crazy numbers I have continued to hold having been locked out before I decided it wont happen again so now is the time to consider all the facts and what they have done so far is to look really focused to use the investments wisely for those ill with covid and cancer I wish its conclusion be very soon and positive
As I said "That has to be one of the most reassuring Tweets of all time and just goes to show that there is so much supporting SAR not just covid GL DYOR" When all the information is fully understood just how much will it be worth been here a long time and we know a lot a long time since Tony the Tiger days
The final bit from Tim Mitchell was also encouraging GL DYOR
"raised substantial additional funding during the period"
" build a robust data package to support our ongoing partnering activities for these exciting and differentiated assets."
We are particularly pleased to have raised substantial additional funding during the period, which will be deployed to advance these programmes into clinical development and build a robust data package to support our ongoing partnering activities for these exciting and differentiated assets."
I have been here a long time with ups and downs but todays RNS in my opinion was simple
"with the final results confirming the initial encouraging results" what else do we need to hear? A patent that protects us and global patents to, investors sticking millions in and the directors for once taking some cash for all the hard work gone in AIM is always concerning but this is about an amazing opportunity to cure killer diseases in virtually one go GL DYOR
As noted in the Company's RNS announcement of 1 July 2021, the UKRI-funded Covid-19 research project for SDC-1801, a novel, TYK2/JAK1 inhibitor, was completed on schedule, with the final results confirming the initial encouraging results as noted in the Company's Interim Results, published on 23 April 2021.
Did we always have Cambridge university involved from day one? They have guy ex Lancaster heading it up https://www.agiletrial.net/ does 2 and 2 come into play here? DYOR GL
Well from experience you don't want to be out of this over the weekend I have had plenty of weekends in this share I don't want to miss that Monday RNS that sorts us out forever. GL all, every step seems to be like its all coming together
So, who was the joker saying back to 5? Over the years we have listed to people who quite frankly were not worth reading what they said. But each to their own today's RNS again points to positive news that we have a plan and are following it I now believe that all the research and work done is getting close to real success maybe it will go to 5 as 50p is a good number GL ALL
