What connections and experience we have here certainly qualified to show the government what to do
No manipulations would solve the problem what SP were you expecting? I think the fast track may take all by surprise if the urgency is with the funding and I cannot see them not getting the funding what do you think?
I think that says it all if left to trade uninterrupted they would become stronger by default
"The results of the project found that SDC-1801 reduced the levels of cytokines associated with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome in human lung cells infected with SARS-CoV-2 and demonstrated a profile that was superior to the anti-inflammatory steroid dexamethasone and similar to baricitinib, a JAK1/JAK2 inhibitor."
BBC news today "the react study" shows around 2M have some long-lasting symptoms known as "long covid" to me that is not good news as we are dealing with all sorts of different problems. Does this have more implications than anyone could see who is going to care for these people? What medication is available? Let's hope our faith in SAR delivers some of the answers.
The world’s most innovative treatments for COVID-19 will soon be fast-tracked through the UK’s clinical trial system, as the government announces funding for the most promising treatments.
Bring it all on now we must be in with a chance to really take these things to the conclusion we all need GL DYOR
Thanks for that the real deal sounds like its a work in progress now I understand the Tweet
From the slides I read this bit TYK2/JAK1 and Covid-19 Clinical trials of JAK-family inhibitors tofacitinib (Pfizer) and baricitinib (Lilly) in Covid-19 patients are in progress or planned
DYOR but the presentation made sense and more news to follow
They have at least made a press release on the website but when will the slides be posted? Dated 21st June says today anyone?

Don't think it could be any more precise than this, Dr Mitchell will showcase Sareum's two proprietary TYK2/JAK1 kinase inhibitor programmes: SDC-1801 targeting autoimmune diseases and the severe inflammatory responses and respiratory symptoms arising from Covid-19 and other viral infections, and SDC-1802 targeting cancers.
I read this BELOW again and the point raised I liked was "working with others in this field" the grant was peanuts compared to our high net worth individuals circa £2.3M investment. People seem to not understand SAR are not a one-trick pony with so many patents taken out we have real belt and braces moving forward. GL DYOR
Sareum's CSO, Dr John Reader, commented:
"The important findings of this extensive DNA analysis, which were highlighted in this Nature Article Preview, provide strong support for our hypothesis that TYK2 inhibition could be a significant contributor to the fight against the life-threatening cytokine storm effects of severe Covid-19. We are very pleased to have recently received a UKRI grant to test this hypothesis and look forward to working closely with others in the field to evaluate the potential of this new approach to bring a much-needed treatment option to patients with severe Covid-19."
A long way to go but not as far as you may come to think, this is an interesting read that really spells out what these people at SAR are doing and each hour we may be closer to the amazing news, that success is within their grasp 12 years on and who would predict what will happen? http://www.sareum.com/discovery/tyk2jak1-covid19/
SAR have a following and so many theories on pricing, take over potential etc. What price is the covid/cytokine aspect alone worth? I said it looked cheap at 3,4,5,6,7 now 8/9 is looming. Does 50p look doable? Someone on SAR Twitter Tweeted "pound land is not out of the question" DYOR. Certainly, we long-timers here have followed the details and understand that these things take time. For some time is moving faster than we think. Look how focused the SAR team have become and that must bring hope that they have cracked something others may benefit from, this is not just financial but hopefully life-saving GL
Regenoron was this one of the collaborations?

I said 3 would look cheap a few days later 4 then 5 now 6 we know there are delays in getting results and I guess all that does is to provide more time to get things right what the betting 7 looks cheap soon?
