I lost a lot for me...but worse I was completely duped/ smitten even by the HUR story and encouraged my friends and family to look at HUR...so I feel guilty as sin.

How much of a liar was whoever promoted Hurricane Energy (LSE:HUR)? And how many such might there be in the mining world?

HUR has seen its shares decimated (from the Latin for merely ‘one tenth’ – so when the shares are actually down 90%, “annihilated” would be more appropriate) following its announcement that its Lancaster oil field, in the Atlantic 60 miles off the Shetlands, can be expected to deliver only about 12% of what was predicted. And its eye-watering up-front cost has already been spent!

lemon fool has been consistently more accurate than HUR mgt regarding water cut...beware here

I notice well 6 now has a water cut of 15% (was 12% only 5 weeks ago). At this rate it will be up with the 57% water cut of well 7 before too many more months pass.

By my estimates well 6 will be at over 50% water cut by March 2021.

I truly hope not. I had over 4 years pain with hur. Pain with crystal amber. And I personally think trice should face prosecution for what were half truths if you were being kind

I know many people are unhappy with the CEO Francis getting his 500,000 shares before he has delivered anything tamgible. However it has removed any incentive he may have had to "kitchen sink" on Sep 24th and put all bad news into the results until June. So we might hopefully get a factual (rather than exaggerated) statement of historic bad news, and then a very bullish statement on the future...Thats what I am actually expecting. Then the IIs and private equity can hold him to account for delivery against the bullish statement

SHI is my biggest holding by far I do admit so I might have rose coloured glasses lol

dont disagree Magsy...here I think we are just waiting for news. The price of GDR went up in July when the CEO told us that we would have news on sales within a month. It didnt happen..all they said was that they had 1 million waiting on approval. Then if you believe these BBs it seems we didnt apply for approval as early as we could have...and no update on sales. So GDR mgt have failed to deliver what they promised...share price drops/ drifts

The big hope (for me) is the partnership with BC...without that I would have sold up and gone taking my 33% loss!

But actually I think we might just get out of this with a profit...heres hoping

i would suggest the MMs want those shares for some reason

bank loans are dirt cheap...3.49% for 20k over 5 years is what I did...I am sure there are better rates

The psychology is that people sell into a falling price..to stop the pain? Buffet says that in his house when the price of frozen burgers drops,,he buys more... Thinking that MMs dont manage their situations proactively is a bit naive. The other big trick is to move the price down a lot in closed periods. Look at TILS...no doubt in the background the board are negotiating so are not allowed to comment. The share price has dropped from over 250p to 120p on no news. It is bouncing today...dont tell me that the MMs dont know that good news is imminent there
