As part of a US nationwide response to the threat posed by the more contagious Delta coronavirus variant, New York City will require Covid vaccinations or weekly tests for workers at city-run hospitals and clinics, Reuters reports.
The new policy will go into effect on 2 August, the mayor Bill de Blasio said at a news conference on Wednesday. The city will suspend without pay any employee who refuses to either get vaccinated or tested.
“Because of the Delta variant, increasingly the choice is between infection or vaccination, and that can mean the difference between life and death,” Dave Chokshi, the city’s health commissioner, said at the same briefing.
I have seen it 1st hand at LHR. Persons from the continent south of the Med, arriving into the UK via AMS. Border force officer to passenger " where have you arrived from? "The Netherlands ". Border officer, "have you been anywhere else in the last 10 day?". "No Sir".. Border officer stamps passport and they are in. The system cannot check where these people have been in recent days. The time it takes to complete full checks will need temporary beds set up for passengers to take a nap in the queue as they process 1000's of in-comers. A joke , all of it.
This is from the Financial Times a few days ago, apologies if it has already been reported and shared here. Disappointed they did not put in an offer for NCYT. However, if they can knock out a Covid test for 1 US dollar, then that is scary for us investors here?

“Mologic worked with a Senegalese research institute to test a 10-minute Covid-19 diagnostic, aiming to eventually make it for $1. Its sister company Global Access Diagnostics, also part of the buyout, received millions of pounds in funding from the UK to expand manufacturing of Covid-19 lateral flow tests.
The company’s Covid-19 tests have received a CE certification, so they can be deployed by a professional in Europe, but are not yet adopted by Public Health England or approved in the US.
Covid-19 has shown how lateral flow diagnostics could be used far beyond pregnancy tests, in an inexpensive way to keep track of an infectious disease.
Dan Wattendorf, director of innovative technology solutions at the Gates Foundation, said the pandemic had been a “clarion call” about the importance of access to diagnostics. He said that if Mologic’s social enterprise model is successful, its use could be explored in other fields. “
Several weeks ago I paid £189 at a private cosmetic salon in Cornwall £189. No competition, so they can charge this price. 48hr turnaround, though to be fair I received my result in 18 hours. Incidentally, last week to fly from the UK to France via Amsterdam, I only needed a crappie far eastern LFT, which was easily acc9at the check in. Cost me nothing as it was a spare from the NHS lft pack I received several months ago to conduct day 2,5 and 8 tests returning from France at the beginning of June.
It seems to be all cloak and daggers. Shareholders investigating the smallest piece of potential evidence to establish a link and eventually a customer which could lead to a profit. I, along with many others, am sick to death of it. It is like reading a murder mystery. Please Novacyt, update us on facts. Who are we selling to and volumes and more importantly what is the future.
@ risehall
You state "BUY"
I have many times.....more times than I want to be remembered . I, along with many are sat on a stonging loss. In my own case it goes to 6 figures. Gutted. Not buying anymore. One day, before I reach the crematorium, hopefully I can break even.
@ Porky
You keep saying ready for the re-rate..
Ate there companies in the history of share dealing where a company has never re-created for whatever reason. Is it a given that this share will re-rate.? If so, why are institutional investors not buying at these under valued prices? Seems odd that the institutions with billions of other peoples money are not buying my stash of these "Golden Tickets". I am only asking as I am not an investor by profession.
Surprised you say it now needs addressing. It has been farked about with for months and months. Too much secrecy involved with this company, as soon as I break even (if I ever do), I am sure I will be out. Dreams of an early finish, hang my boots up are gone I think, need to work harder and longer to replace the funds I piled into this. It is such a shame. Never took any notice of the £54 brigade, heyho, such is life I guess.
It is all a secret, we will never be told. It is like being invested in HM Secret Services. You get more information from defence manufacturing companies thanks, warships, aircraft, radar systems etc etc. What a nightmare. We get rumours from Bletchley Park and the pig farm and that is our lot. Fed up and p#ssed off, like most of us. Bullet proof vest isbon and tin helmet ready for the BS to start in coming. Will the rocket ever match Richard Branson and his trip to 80km above Mexico?
