Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Anglo has made it abundantly clear that they are incredibly interested in our licence area. They have also provided me with confirmation that the deal outlined in our RNS is the deal they are currently moving ahead with. Why are you bothered about an exclusivity period? The deal is going ahead, it will take as long as it takes, but it will eventually be signed. Anybody in here who is in a rush is clearly a trader, this a screaming BUY.
Completely agree with this. No profit forecast, no breakdown of costs or hint to whether or not we are currently profitable or what copper price we might be profitable at.
I feel that investors would be more comfortable with quarterly reporting if we had the above figures, and I think that may be reflected in the current share price. Also market sentiment - AIM is always the last to recover

Haven’t been here for too long. Quick question. So we have 410 tonnes saleable copper from March, who are we selling that to and for how much? Thank you.
Upon successful granting of the Molaoi exploration and mining licence to Hellenic, Rockfire shall acquire a 100% shareholding in Hellenic, with the issue of 50 million new ordinary shares in Rockfire, at a nominal 1p share price to Mr. Georgios Skevas (the sole shareholder of Hellenic) or his nominee/s. If successful, this issue is expected to occur within the next three months.
On achieving a minimum JORC or NI43-101 resource of 400,000 tonnes of zinc-equivalent metal content, Rockfire shall make a 50% cash and 50% share payment of a total value of £400,000, with shares being issued at a 5% discount to the 5-day VWAP share price in Rockfire at the time of the RNS of the JORC, to Mr. Georgios Skevas or his nominee/s. It is expected that this issue will occur within the first three years of exploration.
A gross Production Royalty on saleable product of 2% will be payable to Mr. Georgios Skevas or his nominee/s following the commencement of commercial production from the Project. Rockfire shall have the Option to acquire the Production Royalty for a cash consideration of £1,000,000 at any time. If a commercial zinc mine is deemed feasible, the acquisition of the Royalty is likely to occur following the first five years of exploration and successful feasibility/environmental studies. The maximum consideration payable on this transaction is £1,900,000.
Well we knew what hole 1 was going to be before they even drilled it.. Hole 2 was disappointing but it’s shone a light in the right direction for us. We are an early stage exploration company after all aren’t we? This is what it’s all about. Plugging holes and drinking beer :D. The thing that has me here is that there is no smoke without fire, just like there is no “1500+ copper veins” in a 350m drill core without a large source. We’ll scope the area, find the higher grades and start plugging more holes in that direction, as and when the grades come through. Patience is a virtue here.. and eventually it’ll pay off. In the mean time I’ll do what I can to top up if the SP falls anymore.. and if it helps, Plateau is worth at least double the current SP alone.

Perhaps I’m oversimplifying it.
DP comments on BCH002 -
"This drillhole continues to build our confidence in the potential for the discovery of a large-scale copper deposit. Although grade remains relatively low, the system continues to expand with each hole drilled. BCH002 was drilled towards the south - the opposite direction to hole BCH001. This direction was chosen to confirm that drilling to the north-northeast is appropriate and the structures measured in hole BCH002 confirm the original drilling direction is optimum.“
So far we’ve received 3 drill holes back. 1 was a re-drilling a historical hole to confirm the grade - successful. The second was drilling in the WRONG direction on purpose - proved we are drilling in the right direction. The third was better than expected and we still have 2 more to go. Also testing an anomaly at plateau. Just relax. Add if you can.
What threat of a placing? Sounds like scaremongering to me. Where do you think the £1.8m raised last year has gone? Just evaporated?
A few people have sold out at a 50% loss before they’ve even had all the assay results.
Sorry to hear that JJ, wishing you all the best.
I see a lot of people suggesting that higher base rates mean higher profits.. when in fact, profit margins may still get tighter and tighter. The banking system is very competitive right now, and with mortgage and loan comparison websites it’s very easy to seek out the best deal on the market. Hence the “race to zero” that the banks have partaken in for many years now.
Higher base rate means the banks MAY need to increase their interest rates, but will they raise them by much more than the base rate increase? Unlikely.
The race to zero will continue until on the brink of profitability… where very few banks will survive. IMO.
OR! Base rates will increase, banks will pay less attention to their competitors and raise their rates more so than the base rate increase, whilst rubbing their hands together… we’ll see lots of profits… etc etc. It’s anybodies guess. GLA
