Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
So, Auditors to be replaced. Very surprised the over whelming support for the board. All got 90% and above approval. Had thought it would be alot closer as most investors are annoyed of their lack of planning and decision making on behalf of shareholders.
My opinion is that the presentation is very wholly. We can invest organically or externally. Well that's obvious. Decision is to made in next few months. If that is the case, you would need to do diligence on companies if merging so who are you doing diligence on? Nothing concrete in the plans and I don't feel we will learn anything new from the AGM. Sounds like no plan has been made just yet.
I don't really understand why this share is dropping by about 20% in the last week. Maybe it's the macroeconomics such as inflation & interest rates increases. Other shares have bounced a little back. Is it the fact that the market don't like the merger? Seems like a good idea in my opinion. Seems a little overdone. Why so many referring to July 13th as an important date. If someone could fill me in on this, it would be greatly appreciated
Hi,
You are pretty much correct but I would say the fair value of the share should be somewhere between 10-15p currently. Two limitations of the share is no plan for all this money that they have but hopefully they will iron this out shortly and the fact we only have 1 well which is always precaurious having one revenue stream but hopefully from point 1 this will sort itself out. I think it's macroeconomics that is subpressing this with inflation, interest rates and recession being talked about.
The Problem with a dividend is that unless you were clever enough to put it in an ISA, that after £2k, you are liable for high tax if a high tax earner so not really worth it. I'd rather they both out another oil company like Tullow Oil have done.
I think with the price of oil at what it is currently and RNS's in the pipeline next week, If this could just break 8p and get a bit of momentum, it could really fly! Fingers crossed
Hi,
Can anyone understand why this share has dropped nearly 30% in the next month?
Is there a rational?
Thanks,
Jon
I voted against all the options except the accounts bits (first two). I love the way you have to decide with no information/discussion to go off but don't like the intension of the Equity nor think the directors have done well enough to get reelected just like that. The only reason why HUR is doing ok is because of circumstances of whats happened to the price of oil. Imagine where we'd be if that hadn't happened!
I'm looking at submitting my vote and just looking for opinions. Should I vote for all the directors even if I think they could do a better job? What is the implication of issuing more Equity? I thought more shares in circulation would result in lower share price but maybe misunderstanding. Thanks.
We are in the Blue finally! Maybe this will bounce tomorrow
Thanks for that. Just investing there today but wasn't aware of the back story.
Why, what happened at HUR as they are doing amazing in the last month?
Can anyone explain how this is going down this morning? Oil price at record high and the results seemed very good from where I am sitting.
Thinking of investing in this tomorrow. Not really been following the share but due to oil price increases, I'm looking for a stock that will be correlated with the rise of this commodity. Can someone briefly bring me up to date with this stock and if it is underpriced currently? Cheers
Hi,
For the last few days, we have had RNS regarding forms which usually mean buying/disposing of shares over a certain threashold but I struggle to understand them. Is it just paper filling experience after Science Groups 10% purchases or is in new information?
Hi,
I invested quite heavily in this yesterday as this appeared to have prospects. I see they have won 4 contracts this year already. Just wondering if someone could tell me what the aspirations of the company is in the next 2/3 years. I see they are likely to make a profit this year. All advice is welcome. Thanks
Hi Jscsc, Have been investing for about 10 years now. In the past invested in AAZ, SOU,and currently largely inSXX. While SXX is sorting its finances out, I thought I'd make some capital work and did what all rash people do and invest without due care especially when the stock was rising so in a negative position slightly which is fine. However I know from my AAZ experience that if the stock spikes and then retracks, it can be difficult to get out if liquidity in the stock is low. That was my point.
Twix- An immediate issue for me is the lack of interest in the share. Only 67k shares traded. I invested 2 days ago and due to the illiquity of the share wonder in the short term how would I even sell the share.
All the sentiment seems positive. Hopefully, it will prove to be the case.
Hi, Very new investor.
I'm just wondering now that the annual results are out, what is the next news that is anticipated?
Thanks,
Jonathan
Hi,
Until a finance backer is found, this share is only going to go down and until Brexit is completed (if it is), then no sensible investor will invest because of the uncertainty to the economy. The project is brilliant but that is irrelevant in the current climate. The added issue is the lack of cashflow after Q2. I can' see one reason why investors wouldn't remove there funds until we can see the wood for the trees. I certainly did and hope to get in at a lower price in 4/5 months time.
