I can only offer relay and opinion but I suspect any optimism is driven be the performances of other banks that have the capability to take advantage of recent market turmoils e.g.barclays flurry of trading boosted their q1 performance.

Metro don't have that sort of capability so I'm guessing good but unexciting results

Uncertainty tends to impact share price a lot
