to be fair, the price was still around 1.3p only a couple of days ago so, assuming this true re the placing and as these things usually take a few days to pull together, i wouldnt be surprised if the price at the time the deal was being done was close to the prevailing price (ie only a small discount if any) - the price then ran on at end of the week. if you had wanted to buy at 1.3 or less you could have done so for quite a few weeks
this is interesting - and of course Triton owns a chunk of Boom given took its break fee in shares - scripps is very active in podcast space - continues to be v hot sector in US and that is where Boom is big....and growing

circular is out - shows the new 3%+ holders after the placing - some good names taking big stakes (Axa, Miton, Gresham House, Killik) in a tiny mkt cap company so they must see something in this, albeit they got in at a low price - i expect there are other decent names sub 3% too as the RNS said it was all institutions - existing holders can get in at same price in the open offer and reduce dilution effect
So you are calling end Nov for out of cash are you - see you back here then. Great to see you dont own any shares and "are not that bothered" - so why spending so long on here then telling everyone else not to? Obviously from the kindness of your heart.
that almost certainly isnt the cash burn as I pointed out last week but why let the truth get in the way of a good story...
I thought it was a good presentation from RP and I felt pretty positive after it - but there was some pretty relentless questioning from the floor (more about triton, share price, etc than about current performance/strategy) that tended to change the atmosphere somewhat although I felt the board were v honest and open in their replies and in allowing the questions to continue. I think we will see more news flow as a result as there was a v strong message from the floor that greater communication required especially with recent price action. Interims by end of month. I remain a holder/buyer.
I genuinely hope you get a good price and good luck with your next investment. I also hope you wont be one of those who continues to bad mouth shares that they have sold out of. Also do you understand the difference between cost of sales and admin expenses? If so you will see that I did not contradict myself as you suggest below. I also think that your misunderstanding of various aspects of the results and the analyst report (and I dont mean the forecasts themselves as I agree with you that these can often be some way out - thats the nature of the beast) is entirely innocent and I dont think you are trying to mislead but you are so way off on your interpretation of some aspects that it worries me that others may put undue weight on your musings
Wrong on so many fronts that not sure where to begin or even whether to bother. 2017 acquisition costs are Sonr not Triton. Triton only began in dec so in 2018 numbers and annual report refers to these being material. And it doesnt follow that admin costs must increase. Rns referred to further cost savings to come. Cost of sales probably increase (sign on fees, min guarantees, etc for podcasters) but outweighed by increase in rev and that goes to gross profit line
When will people get that owning 5% of a growing profitable market leading company with a top management team in a hot sector is far better than owning 25% of a loss making, cash strapped minnow that has never been able to raise the funds to do what it wanted to do? "Dilution" is banded around like a filthy word without any attempt to see the bigger picture. I almost wish the shares weren't suspended and then all those who are ****ging it off could sell now - as it is we will have to suffer their whinging a little longer...
You are mixing cost of sales with overheads. Also I said the broker note gives you the steer in in terms of RP expectations (which is what you asked for) - I did not suggest those forecasts are reliable
share your frustration but companies rarely put out that sort of expectation explicitly - you have to rely on "market expectations" which are whatever numbers the analysts have out there. think Boom is only followed by Allenby and think they have £15m rev for 2018 and a much reduced EBITDA loss £1m. if board thought that those expectations no longer held then they would have to steer analyst accordingly - doesn't appear that they have so we can assume that this is what they are working to. on same basis, can assume the previous statement made re break-even run rate in Q4'18 holds true. we dont know the rate of ramp up through the year though of course. guess next regular update will be end of Q1 when should get Q1 revenue and some look ahead statement
This was never 80p - it listed at 1.5p in 2014 and got well ahead of itself reaching c 18p later that year. If you see 80p on a chart you are looking at previous incarnation (was Offplan, One Delta and probably other things in the past before Audioboom RTO'd into it)
Retail holders moaning about dilution in aim company placings do make me laugh - would you rather have 10% of nothing (as its run out of cash) or 5% of something that just might be very valuable? I blame the winnifirth "all placings are bad" mentality - one of main reasons to list on aim is access to capital and fundraising for growth companies. Yes there is some dross but to tar all companies with same brush is unfair. It's not even as though the recent placing was at a discount to the long term prevailing price. Personally (and I have a decent stake here) happy for anyone to fill their boots in placings if the company needs the cash to succeed.
Better suited nomad broker and PR for this space/ size - fully funded for growth (they had told us more funding needed to get to break even) - institutional investment - exponential rev growth - v hot sector
10p - looks like the MMs have got little if any stock in the placing given the massive spread
