Rishi just done an interview saying there will be hundreds of new North Sea licences granted.

Although we have no presence there it only helps to confirm oil is going knowhere in the foreseeable future and demand is there to grant these new licences.

Absolute tosh, interest rates are not at the peak, expect another 0.5% rise and even then these are not high rates historically and will not come down soon. Also, our debt is reducing very quickly and with inflation running at close to 10% the past year our debt is effectively lower in real terms aswell.

One thing for sure, get used to these rates they will reduce a little but 4% will become the low point, just look at the 30 year gilt curve.

Been in auction.....now 34.12p which equates to 10% today.......hold for gold.

Received a lot of criticism on here from several posters.....you know who you are.

Facts are that after McDaid he inherited a company with depleting production, huge debt pile and basically a terminally ill business.

He has turned the production levels round through sound investment in the oil fields rather than throwing money away at wildcats, reduced debt to manageable levels meaning when debt is restructured in 2025 we will get far better terms.

The guy has worked the oracle here. Well done for playing the long game to all long term holders and more importantly having faith in Rahul.

I always read daily and hardly ever contribute. I bought in at IPO and managed to average down to £1.50, felt sick at times in the 30's but now feeling the stars are aligning and although it's required big b*lls I am holding for gold.

Professional Investors know it for what it is. As I have mentioned before the FT100 reached 6930 in Dec 1999. Look where it is now 23 years later & compare with other index’s around the World.

In response to that comment the FTSE 100 pays a much higher dividend than other indices so your comparison is wildly incorrect, had an investor reinvested dividends the performance is not as bad as you are making out.

My understanding Bullseye is that all RD share options are at a price of over 50p?

The bonds are trading below par so why would they not buy them back, far better iption than buying equity or giving back a dividend.

How is he lying? Tullow have been supplying gas for free for the past decade, can you reveal your source that he is not telling the truth about the gas supply.

Never been in a share that has declared a Special Divi. Does it work just like a normal dividend and reduce the share price?

If so, what is the benefit, does the price tend to rise until the Special Divi goes ex dev?

High inflation is the best way to erode the true value of debt hence why the debt pile is not seen as a problem.
