Not surprised with the latest trading figures. Both Red Leg rum and Blackwoods gin are flying off the shelves at my local Morrisons. However, also disappointed with the lack of a distribution deal for Red Leg in the USA. Red Leg was approved for sales in the USA in May 2016. It was stated in an update that shipment to the USA would begin in Q1 this year. Can anyone shed light on the delay?? Thanks.
Did anyone attend the AGM from this board? Any mention of the Red Leg US distribution deal? Anybody any ideas why this is taking so long? The TTB approval to sell Red Leg in the USA was agreed last May. Blackwoods gin is distributed through the Winebow Group, but that does not appear to have help the sales enormously. Thanks.
If Red Leg takes off it the USA it will be a prime target for a takeover. Let's hope Don has sorted out a great distribution deal and it is announced soon.
Not too concerned about the drop. This is a terrific little company with some great products. Once the Red Leg distribution deal in the USA is finalised and announced this will fly. Wonder if Jagos cream liqueur created by the guy who created Baileys the worlds best selling liqueur will be launched before Christmas?
According to Bloomberg CriSeren,
'CriSeren Investments is a private equity firm specializing in later stage, mature, turnaround and growth capital investments.'
Hope they are feeling confident in Tyratech.
This year Beam Suntory a Japanese company paid 50 million quid for Sipsmith Gin. In 2004 Bacardi paid 2 billion dollars for Grey Goose vodka. Somewhere in the middle would do very nicely for Red Leg!!!!
Was in the Peak District a few days ago and went into a nice pub in Castleton. Both Red Leg and Blackwoods were on sale there and this pub was not part of the Wetherspoon or Mitchells and Butler chain. The bartender said both were selling well especially the gin. Good sign.
This is just to clarify when Red Leg will be shipped to the USA. From the October RNS
In October we finalised label approval by the TTB for RedLeg in the USA; production and shipments are now planned for Q4.
