Come on Tangiers Petroleum. I've been following you since 2015 when I came in at 0.57p. I've certainly been following a lot of exciting news
It is a pity but it will soon be time for the day traders to cash up for the day and the share will loose about half of today's gains. Me, I've been sitting here since 23p (January 2015).
One of my great interess, apart from shares is French history and money. I don't yet understand the current trading in paper gold and silver, but perhaps this lovely little video (9 minutes) of the French financial crisis, known as The Louisiana Bubble, of 1720 may help cast a little light on today's shennanigans. Enjoy.

Yes - good resuls - and thanks for the link.
It would seem wise to tread carefully in Tanzania. Recruit locally, do a lot for the local community, pay lots of taxes, and don't create any trouble, then if they like you you get presents like West Kenya. Let us hope the same relationship is established there. Well done Eric.
Earnings are all well and good and welcome, but are we ever going to see a meaningfull dividend? My favourite gold miner used to be Highland Gold before they got taken out ( by one of Mr Putin's friends?).
I had my holding on my books at nill cost because of the dividends they paid.
Life is a gamble. Gold price, geo-politics, dividends Wait and see.
I am signed up to get he RNS from BOO.
First I see who has issued it (Morgan Stanley)
Then I scroll down to the box.
First how many shares now
Second, previous position.
Has it gone up or down?
Simple
23p I paid - so anything above that I'm in profit.
Yes - Mahmood and co come on at 16.11 (the last 1/3rd)- use the slider button at the bottom of the picture.

Yeah - but I don't think Mahmood appears until 4.00pm
Sorry for the mistakes.
I think of the stock market like a herd of Wildibeast. If the herd see movement, they all follow. Was that really a lion I saw, or just the usual chaos? Up and down we go, day to day.

I love Boohoo too. because I bought back in January 2015 at 23p. I don't know about Rolexes, I'm much more a Mahmood type, a £6 Casio, and socks from M&S. Omar and all his bling is not for me, but PLT has loads of followers and has done brilliantly.
I just wonder what our illustrious Mahmut Kamani is thinking and doing today? I would not think he is too bothered about Ms Hurley, or midland news. The auditor thing is probably sorted too. The daily share price? No problem we have been here since 23p (well I have).
What is important is to make sure the buisness is runing smoothly, ie creative ideas, production and distribution. I don't see any great new changes yet awhile. Keep all the workers as happy as possible and be good to your community. Well done I say.
It did cross my mind that Hummingbird themselves could have been the buyer of the LPMDO shares. Certainly HUM have the money, and I should think by now the authority for a buy-back. If the buyer was HUM then I believe they will have to issue an RNS to that effect. Me? I'm just happy a buyer was found.
I wonder why he chose the name? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Kq_7gOjsRU
Some while ago I spent time trying to get to know Highland Gold's mines and developments. One problem is the differing spellings when you try to transcribe The Russian alphabet into English. Valunisty I believe is also Valunistoye, so a little link to some more information on the mine http://www.rusmininfo.com/news/17-10-2012/russia-valunistoye-deposit-chukotka-be-put-operation-2013 You can also find it on Google maps https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@66.3785691,177.578845,3201m/data=!3m1!1e3 I'm not sure that link will work, but you can find it by searching "Valunistoye Gold Mine" on Google maps. In relation to nuclear power, Bilibino the town nearest to Kekura mine already has a nuclear reactor, though of the old Chernobyl design, which I would imagine is why they are connecting Kekura to the grid. Though the Bilibino reactor is due to be decomisioned, it is planned that it will be replaced by a floating reactor aboard a ship up in the Arctic port where our mine supplies are being shipped in.
My understanding after playing the stock exchange for 30+ years is that no trading takes place after 4.30 when the market closes. The trades shown after 4.30 are what are known as Uncrossed Trades. They are neither buys or sells, they are a mechanism that the market makers use to determine the closing price, and are based on what has been taking place during the day. See http://www.theel1tetrader.com/2013/01/lse-closing-auction-how-it-works.html So PLEASE no more BIG after hours trade please.
Is a company worth what it's valueation on the stock exchange shows? I would say only in one way. Other ways are ~ 1. The value of it's physical assets (possible takeover) 2. The cash it is generating (possible dividend, share buy-back, acquitions or developments) 3. The value of it's management team and workforce (priceless!) I'm not worried about the share price for now, HUM ticks all the above boxes. And FSJ I like your posts.
Frank ~ Thankyou very much for a truly magnificant report. I've bookmarked it to read again as there is so much detail to take in. Little did I realise when I first bought into HUM back in October 2016 that it would become my biggest goldmine holding, nor that it would prove such an interesting story. ~John~
Hi all. I bought another 10k shares yesterday at 12.52pm. The trade never showed on my usual data feed at This is Money. http://investing.thisismoney.co.uk/trades/HUM/Hummingbird-Resources.html which is unusual. However it did show on the LSE feed. Franks trade today is showing on This is Money, but yesterdays did not. At least I know now not to fully trust either of my free data feeds. As I said yesterday I always use my own judgement as to wether a trade is a Buy or Sell ~John~
