Yes I thought DF came across as honest in the video last year - not the most charismatic CEO nor perhaps the most dynamic but, whether the copper turns out to be there in decent quantities or not, I felt reassured that at least I'm not going to get wilfully stitched up here.

I'd guess well over half have been flipped by now so the shackles should be off sometime soon, IMO. Imminent full ownership of Casa will be a target attained as promised, lending market confidence in the BoD's leadership, and probably leading to further gains.

Cynics might suggest it is a ploy to allow some in for a cheap final top up, and any discrepancies will turn out to be fairly insignificant.

Once infill drills are completed, M2 north zone was hoped to contain c. 100kts copper, a figure which may now be downgraded. However, by WTC's estimations Sharktooth may contain up to 2m tonnes of copper, and by Gwmo's own internal estimation, perhaps up to several times that. I'm not sure if these ST estimations will be affected as they are not based on drill samples, but the quantities are huge compared to M2, and by some accounts, M4 may rival ST. So I suspect the M2 contained copper values they are currently poring over are actually only a miniscule proportion (1%?) of the full potential of all the copper in the area. The bigger picture is saying hold, this may just be a tiny blip.

Why didn't they wait and check before dropping this news to avoid uncertainty? They appear to do everything else at a snail's pace so why the rush to inform us while the matter is yet being resolved? Now all kinds of doubts will be going through peoples' minds and the MMs will take full advantage of it.

The company's estimation of ST varies dramatically with WTC's by a factor of 10x, so I doubt any discrepancy with WTC's calculations there will have much effect since both expectations are already poles apart. Hopefully this present aberration is just a minor glitch on the way to much greater things.

Dilution, yes, but for visible value addition - we've gone from owning 22.8% of Casa to soon owning 100% (72% of the probable 3mozs+ Akyanga mine)

...meaning a Mcap of £6m which probably prices in cash in hand, the JORCd copper at M2 north zone, plus maybe a couple or caravans, a portaloo and a dodgy paraffin stove. Potential for so much more here, even at the very lowest ST expectations of 60mts @ 1% coming in.

Yes, I always thought it was around 600m. A quick look on Moneyam confirms 592m in issue....

cattleman - I still think we're churning through the placing. Apart from the odd moderate volume days when sample results are published, we usually only trade a million or two. So with a 50% dilution of 80m+ shares to get through, it was always going to take a while. Having said that, I'd guess we are well past the halfway mark by now.

85m shares placed at 2p on 30th Oct will have a lot to do with it. Our normal daily volume is usually only a couple of million shares traded. Take advantage of the subdued price, IMO.

Looking at the usual timelines for getting mines into production, those kinds of valuations are likely to be 5+ years away, I should think. For an early sale of Casa within a year or two, once we've proved up what we have, I'd guess an s/p in the tens of pence would be the ballpark figure to expect.

IMO its likely to take quite a while to churn through the 85m x 2p placing shares given the fairly low volumes, so a good opportunity to top up/average down if you're so inclined. Don't come crying when we're at Nicola Duke's 6p chart target sometime next year! :-p
