RE: Chinese Zijin to acquire lithium mine in Tibet for $741 million5 May 2022 06:57
Relating the Fore-mentioned takeover:
‘The company said that the total consideration of the target assets under the transaction is RMB7,682,124,435 (~ $1.2 billion), of which RMB4,897,332,050 (~$741 million) will be paid for 100% equity interest in Jinshi Mining, which holds a 70% interest in the Lakkor Tso Salt Lake lithium mine’
Therefore the stated cost was to buy the company Jinshi not just its assets. I do agree to your point ILOVElithium, that a company buyout must be on Chinese minds. All the more reason to get the SP up to derisk for holders.
We need to be clear to investors though, that this discussion is based on other market examples and Prem have not been directly linked with a buyout of any kind with the exception of GR saying everything has its price (or something to that effect)
Thanks for sharing the info ILOVE
