I have been a BG customer for years with fixed rates on both gas & Elect but I have been with another company for years for my service and repairs etc, and still very happy with both quality and price. I think it's just the engineers that think they are better than other engineers. Get real.
It's more about price and some backup but the backup from BG really p*** me off at times.

Just do your research and read the rns/ up-dates, and make your own mind up simple.

What bugs me is all this we are behind Israel but we are not, ok they have a higher % acheived but they only have a population of 9m people and uk has already done 15m .

Well it's not what I expected, the new consortium have got control after putting in all that money but what a good deal at £2.10. maybe the rise is short lived I don't know.

Well M& T must have been in big trouble to give away the business in some take over and sp deal at £2.10 by major share holders.
Can only see these going down for a while now.

Infact the best they can hope for is a buy out by blvn for 2p, well maybe 1p and take the debt.

I don't think vog have been a going concern for the last 5 years, they never made a profit when they were selling 15mmscuff a day let alone 5mm.

Mitchells & Butlers said it intends to raise GBP350 million by means of an fully underwritten, pre-emptive open offer. The FTSE 250 company had said back at the start of January that it was exploring an equity raise, as none of its pubs have been open since the start of the third national lockdown in England on December 30.

The open offer is supported by the company's major shareholders - Piedmont, Elpida Group and Smoothfield Holding - which collectively hold around 55% of the issued share capital.

Mitchells & Butlers will issue approximately 167 million new ordinary shares at a subscription price of 210 pence per share. The price represents a 36% discount to the closing share price on Friday. It is anticipated that the open offer will be fully underwritten at launch, it said.

Come on then striking engineers is that true , and what % do you get 10%-15% of boiler cost ?

Am I also correct in that if/ when an engineer calls on a customer and sells/ talks them into a NEW boiler etc. they get commission

From their last rns, it says they now have until end Feb to sort out the money, so a rights could still be on the cards and with an sp of about 30p we could be looking at 20p-25p. what do you think.?

So don't come back to me asking the same question, you seem to know all the answers what O'shea is doning wrong and how he is killing the company. Come on what would you do to clear debt, improve sales , cut overheads and make some profits. Customers are not and have not been leaving just because engineers are not happy.
Bearing in mind that in about 10 years there will be less gas boilers being fitted in homes as we move to more electric so there will not be the need for so many gas engineers.

OK let's first NOT talk about strikes or Pay because you said that's not the problem,
so if you were O'shea what would you do to improve cna and help it stay in business.

So the way things are going it looks like the only shops that will be left will be ,
Sports shops pound land shops card shops cafe's etc. It could be that total footfall will be about half that before the covid as everything is going to be online, even Moon pig

Same as you will hold another few months to see £1.20- £1.50 as food sales for pfd look to continue for another 3-6 months.

I was a holder untill mid 90's but sold just in case the bid didn't come off, not clever but not wanting to be too greedy worked this time.
