Some directors have been purchasing in large amounts very recently.

Nothing wrong with ii. I actually think this is a good buy for them. Of course time will tell but i'm happy.

The dividend is 35.98p which is being paid on December 1st. Its worth noting that ULVR will be going ex-div again in February with a March payment date.
Both these dates, and the amount, are yet to be decided upon.

The dividend is indeed about 3.8%, which in itself is not to be sniffed at, along with fact that they pay quarterly, which appeals to me.
Its true that there are several other companies which pay a higher percentage dividend but ULVR have paid an increased annual dividend every year for over 20 years.
Its a massive solid company with a SP that is,IMO, trading lower than where it should be. There is plenty of upsides left in this SP and for all these reasons this is a good solid share to hold at this present time.

Ulvr ,IMO,are a still a good investment. Hang on in there and take the nice quarterly dividends. At some point there will be a rally in the SP. The Ben and Jerry fiasco has had a real negative impact on the SP but that will pass. GLA

I am hopeful that the trading update due in 11 November will also announce the paying of a special dividend.

No. They are now trading ex-div

Morning all.
I was hoping for a SP rise into the 160+ range on the run in to going ex div.
It seems highly unlikely at this stage which now has me wondering just how much the SP will fall after going ex.
I think a fall of more than the 4.14p dividend is quite possible.
Any views ?

The only declared dividend is 4.14p which goes x div on 7 October for payment on 12 November.

Morning,
My dealings with TW. shares mirrors yours. I have been dealing in the 166-171 price range and taking profits in extra shares.
My last sale was at 170.5 and i decided that i would leave it at that but the price fall into the 150's was IMO too much of a buying opportunity so i bought back in at 158
I fully believe that this share will climb again although it may take a little time.
Meanwhile i'll sit back and take the nice dividends they pay.

Apart from paying a decent dividend this share just treads water. I'm holding in the hope that SP rises in the run up to the ex div date on 7 October but i'm not holding my breath.
