Its the story of my life getting the timing wrong on shares.!!
It is what it is.
I'm happy to hold for the dividend and if your thinking of the possibility of 32.81p per share is close to the mark i would be delighted.
I still believe this can reach £9.50p plus somewhere before it goes XD. Says i in hope !!
Time will tell.

Good morning all,
Thanks for your views chaps, much appreciated.
I'm a long term holder of this stock and unfortunately i have an average purchase price of 953.
I was hoping the run up to the ex-div date would allow me the option to sell at a profit with the safety net of the high yield dividend pay outs if don't .
Not the best of strategies i know but live and learn.
CSDI / sedi. I am always keen to read your posts and i am grateful you both commented with your views. Please keep posting.
Have a good day.

However I am happy with excellent dividend pay outs
Morning all,
I've topped up this morning at 307.5 i do expect a sell off when it go es ex div on Thursday but in the coming months i do believe the share will trade upwards of 325. IMO a good hold for the longer term.

Hi
Just to clarify.
I do think this is a good share to have in any portfolio. I just felt that at the level the shares were trading, at that time, that it was more likely that they had reached a point where the sp would slip back rather than continue rising. I decided to take my profits and wait for a buy back opportunity. I do not currently hold.

Well that's it chaps.
Iv'e had a real roller coaster of a ride with these shares but i have taken advantage of the recent share rise to sell .my holdings. I still think these shares are worth holding but I just feel there is not much more upsides at these levels.

Helen Weir, the finance director, is stepping down. Expansion plans have been scaled back. Competition is increasing and profit margins are being squeezed. IMHO i can't see why anyone would consider this as a good investment when there is so much better value in the market .ie BP and HSBA (different sectors i know) The short term graphs may look good but not a share for me. Hi all, i've not posted on here for a while but my opinion of this share is unchanged. I previously described this share as "a little gem" and my aim was a continuing long term hold. IMO the share price has further north to go and i certainly wouldn't rule out 170+ GLA Jed51
Hi all. i bought into this share @161 and am happy to have done so. As my post indicated, AT THE CURRENT PRICE LEVEL,this share IMO is indeed a little gem. An interim dividend of 3.8p on the way and a projected yield of about 7.5% makes the share a sound investment. Broker forecasts are good,(i use sharecentre.com for reference) . All in all a well run company. Trent 700, Looking back on your remarks on this company I refer to your post of 6 Dec 2017 GLA Lets hope SGC does us proud in 2018 Jed 51
Hi, Everybody has their own opinion and I have viewed mine.I will explain why. A yield of 7.45 (see above) . Not many shares pay that. There have also been minor rumours of a takeover bid (although that is doubtful in my eyes at this moment in time) but if anything does come of this it will undoubtedly impact on the share price.. A year high of 221.40 and at the current levels this share is indeed a little gem. I also see from a previous post that Trent700 also views this share in a similar light to myself.. I continue to buy into this share with a view to a long term gain, meanwhile the dividend payouts will do nicely for me. At 156 or thereabouts this share is a must for my portfolio. (YIELD 7.45 !!) Strong rumours that Rip Van Winkle had shares in Griffin Mining but he got so fed up waiting for the SP to rise that a had a kip in waiting. When he awoke the SP still hadn't moved and the CEO was still giving out the same old "jam tomoro" bull****. i'm off back to bed. Good luck chaps
agm this friday 05/07 i fully expect more of the same from the CEO about how well set the company is for the future. Same spiel he spouts out on a regular basis. He is very much a "jam tomoro" person !! It will probably mean the share price drifts along in its normal limited range and still no divi.
