Correct! You could get half that capacity in a third of the time courtesy of Kibo. The project is a decade plus away from generating electricity. 3 years? Ffs I takes that to fill a reservoir of that size by itself, assuming the rains don’t fail (which they have a nasty habit of doing there).

From the RNS of 21/05/2018 where KIBO went to SEPCO to ‘Revalidate the existing EPC contract price for MCPP’ was now just over 10 weeks ago, time is (huge) money in these large infrastructure / construction deals and I would be amazed if this contract price agreed with SEPCO was ‘sat’ on for any future considerable amount of time or SEPCO will have to look at their price again, we could move very, very quickly here.

Agree, Wimbo, it is a long play Kibo, make no doubt, but the prospect of the Chinese State using kibo as a funnel for billions of dollars of investment into Africa is worth the wait IMHO.

Really interesting article, you can call it what you want I guess (some may say Colonialism) but it is about projecting China’s interests out in to the world, of course, that used to be us!

From a Kibo specific point of view, all of this development needs reliable electrical generation, good for us!

Possibly! One thing is for sure is naked shorting with 'phantom' shares is rife throughout the market. I'm as cynical as they come and if I truly new the truth and scale of market abuse I'd probably still be shocked. JD

That’s pretty spot on for me too, it’s easy to criticise (I do it too when I feel it merited) but he has / is building something rather formidable here, we WILL eventually get that PPA / SML / FC on MCPP and then it will be rinse and repeat for MICPP and BIPP (plus I expect other projects any day now).

Easy to forget also, that all of this has been done while keeping a lid (some may disagree) on the amount of shares issued to get us here and be standing debt free with Institutional investors happy to take stakes way above the current SP, something is brewing here and it should be worth the wait.

Clearly a lot of investors are happy to pile in at a healthy premium, we can now add that to Sanderson, SEPCO and Sechaba. Just a case of patiently waiting, surely? JD
