The company is looking in great shape, the SP is not, this will follow however when the PPA is delivered. For me it’s sll about Mr Market having the confidence that LC and the BoD can actually deliver on these things, if that dubiety is taken away with the PPA on MCPP then we should shoot higher.

Mike mike,
It is of course impossible to tell, however, there is the very real possibility that by making ‘private’ offtake agreement it will be a much speedier process, the TG has been awful here, let’s be honest.
JD
SirG, wouldn’t surprise me if it turned out that way.
Botswana and surrounding countries were given Page 4 (Tanzania was given Page 5) on the AR to show strategic shortages of energy, the focus is clearly on that part of Africa going forward.
JD
On kibo’s Website has a very interesting graphic on Page 4:
http://kibomining.com/wp-content/uploads/KIBO-Annual-Report-2017-Final.pdf
It graphically shows which countries and where have power deficits in Southern Africa. It also shows existing and proposes transmission / power lines.
This is clearly an indicator of where Kibo’s next projects will be IMHO.
Namibia, Zimbabwe or Zambia could be next up IMHO.
JD
The bureaucracy in Africa is clearly very difficult to work with, stiffiling in fact, and patience is needed by the barrel load, however, if we can persevere, we should be rewarded.
What I find interesting (different) at Kibo is who Kibo have got ‘in tow’ in Tanzania. In SEPCO3 and GE these are not companies who will be readily mucked about on costs and timeframes.
I mention those two as the longer this goes on without a PPA and F.C. (and into construction) the more likely it is that costs / inflation will rise. Itssurely in the TG’s own interests to ‘get on with this’?
JD
Can you just rock up to these things? Don’t need to be on the list and all that? No idea if I can make it though, probably not at that time on a Monday!
JD
Well, one thing is for sure is they have spared on the Hotel choice, pricey, let’s hope they have something real value to Give to us shareholders before then.

Bcl, I would also very much hope that the AGM is the ‘long stop’ date for the PPA.
He’s obviously delayed it for that reason, or at least to give himself as much chance as possible to hit that date.
Of course, how long is a piece of string I guess?
JD
It’s all set up very well here, if we can get the PPA in place soon it will set the company up very well in terms of investor sentiment that MCPP can be rinsed and repeated in Bots and Moz.
JD
Possibly! I personally don’t think so.
It all depends on just how ‘integrated’ the MCPP project is, it could well be that in all of the ‘horse trading’ that had gone to get to a price all of the parties can agree on that the pricing structure of the coal per tonne now no longer reflects true market prices. It would be difficult for a third party to come in and honour those prices in an example like this.
These projects depend on having a secure coal source readily at your doorstep that you control, I doubt the future SPV owners would cease control if that, makes it for riskier.
JD
Yes, that’s how it looks, the BFS on MCIPP will be a damn site quicker than MCPP and I assume that is already in progress in all but name. Considering how well received the MCPP BFS has been then it may well be Tractabel dusting it down and rinse and repeat.
I doubt this will do anything for the SP / MCAP on it's own, but still good to see positive progress.
JD
Yaki, yes, there is nothing on Tanzania’s Coal Belt that is even remotely as far as advanced as MCPP is in CtP terms. Everything else is years and $$$ begins.
Of course, it’s still positive to see international investors looking at coal investments in Tanzania, shows they see future potential in it.
JD
I’m cynical on Kiwira, this is still owned by Stamico, and if you think our 100% private interest gets bogged down in bureaucracy, then I can only imagine the length of time this would take.
JD
Indeed, Bcl, more rhetorical than anything else, something however, is not right here, could be positive, could be negative, who knows, AIM makes Trump look rational.
