Here's the S&S figures for the three FDA approved US tests. They are good but we would be very much in the mix if we can replicate our initial evaluation numbers.

Among 102 people who were asymptomatic or whose symptom onset was greater than 7 days before testing, sensitivity for a Ct cutoff of 30 was 100% and specificity was 98.9%. As Ct counts increased to 35 (therefore reflecting less viral load) performance remained high in asymptomatic people of all ages, showing 97.5% sensitivity and 99.7% specificity.

And agreed to your other point, now we have an LFT that is a standard framework and just needs the relevant Affimers dropping in. This process is infinitely faster and all within AVCTs control going forward.
In the same way we had Affimers ready back in April. Everything now out of third party hands and back into ours, right where we want it. (or licensed then we just get paid for someone else to do the work) WIN WIN

With you now, so the 2 strains noted in the RNS cover the only strains we need to detect (orange and green) as they are realistically the only ones that would be in any UK or Spain samples where CV is happening.
The concern of it not picking up a different strain (non orange or green) in CV is a non event because they aren't there (or not in any prevalence to have an impact) in Spain or UK.

Surely they know what strain the samples are in CV right? Otherwise its complete pot luck as to the S&S results. CV needs to be done against the exact variant you know it covers, in AVCT's case B117. Other strains (Sa Calif etc) should not form any part of the CV sample process right now would be my view.

The mrs/mr or parents got an ISA Robbo? If not they can set one up...

You do realise COViD is a global issue, still largely unknown entity, scientific opinion changes daily - as do goalposts. Governments are numerous third parties all involved and intertwined.
Avct produced the COViD Affimers in 4 weeks not far off a year ago. Ava6000 submission delivered on time.
It’s quite apparent and understandable in my view there were going to be delays in doing this. We could have done an Innova, pushed out a sh*t test to reap short term rewards. Fair play to them.
However, the integrity of the Affimer IP needs to stay fully in tact so it needs to be done right! AS is trying to shoot a moving target upside down and blindfolded - with only one shot.
