Our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with QuotedData's Edward Marten has just been released. Listen here.
Stampee, as yet we do not know any financial dimensions of the "agreements". Everyone will have their own view on how weak or strong MIRI would be in a financial negotiation with a Tier 1 partner. I personally suspect that the terms are nowhere near as lucrative as some dream on here and I also fear MIRI's costs have not been brought under control as much as the Board hoped. I hope I am very wrong and that MIRI issue a clear update to the market soon.
With no details on the financial parameters or conditions of the contracts, nor any updates on MIRI's revenues or costs by RNS, the market is obviously being very cautious even sceptical and that is reflected in the share price. "Show me the money.."
Buydip, they'll be wanting to update the market about their cash runway at least. I see this heading easily towards sub-1p in the absence of an update. I want to have your faith that this can 5-bag to 10p on a great update but....
Just re-read the Oct Results RNS. Let us see how quickly Liontown complete their social and environmental surveys and preparations, and can proceed to some initial drilling. And what results on the lithium and gold front it yields.
Whenever the trading update comes, I hope the BoD provide some hard numbers and financial parameters., with a clear outline of actual or expected revenue, costs and cash levels. The market will punish the sp if it is predominantly "jam tomorrow" talk.
Positive RNS but a negative reaction on sp. Fears around "jam for tomorrow" content.
Jarv, we don't know the financial parameters or contingent conditions of any deals that MIRI. Personally, I'm sceptical of the speculations that some on these BB make from LinkedIn and podcast feeds. Maybe it is not the MM but the overall market that is showing its de facto valuation of MIRI, in the absence of clear RNSs with explicit financial numbers.
2phevs, they may have earned a few quid or they may not. The reality is that we still await a clear trading update or report on the company's financial performance. There are loads of companies with heaps of partners that fail to reach profitability - let's hope MIRI is not among them.
Tricky, we'll see how good a forecaster or fortune-teller you are in April!
News with MILA is always a little random in landing. All the focus of recent announcements have really been related to Lionstown and they should be simply be preparing for heritage and environmental surveys ahead of seeking drilling permissions. But maybe MILA is clearer about it's next step-out drilling targets and possibly started. Who knows?
Merciaman, 2phevs - why would you still use a figure which is clearly inappropriate to calculate MIRI's revenues? And why no discussion of costs that the company has incurred? Hard to talk about cash runways (let alone the magnitude of earnings/losses) without acknowledging costs being incurred by the business. Will be great when the BoD treat us like adult investors and not kids who want to drink comms-KoolAid. There is a reason why the share-price is sub-3p - pretending it doesn't make sense or that the market is wrong isn't a great starting point for managing the risks around holdings here, in my opinion
Let's see what revenues and overall losses are for this year first. Let us hope they are moving strongly in opposite directions. I still think MIRI needs to be more explicit in a coherent RNS about possible revenues from actual contracts and the nature and scale of their various costs. Unsexy stuff compared to the heady speculations and multi-bagger talk on this board
Talk of contracts, agreements and partnerships are ultimately of little value in a context where a company doesn't delineate the financial parameters of deals and where market sentiment is poor. "Show me the money"....
