RE: Will Lloyds Bank make a car loan provision after Close Bros shock15 Feb 2024 14:57
LTI surely the FCA would of known the DCA was happening, surely they was not asleep for 20 years, mind you I wouldn't put it past them having several complaints outstanding after 3 years regarding P2P companies in administration
Close Brothers has warned it will not pay a dividend this year and future payouts are under review as the UK lender braced for a possible hit from a regulatory probe into motor financing deals.
The Financial Conduct Authority last month said it would investigate commissions on car financing deals dating back a decade, saying the agreements gave lenders and dealers incentives to lift the interest rate levied on customers.
Spot on Cook paying those interest rates myself ,never bought ant thing on the never never, the first priority was to pay the mortgage and go to work on a Saturday to help the finances. How many work a 6 day week these days
So what's the chances the government will cancel or postpone the sale of their remaining shares. The share price has declined significantly since they sold the last lot
Just a normal UK plc day, Lloyds still being sold off, when's the reversal starting. At these prices I would have the biggest buyback possible and I am not even a fan off them
